Emergency Garage Door Unlocking Mechanism - A Must Have for Garages with Only Single Entrance!

My garage space has only one way in and out. Thru the garage door. The garage door has an automatic opener attached and if that fails, I would not be able to enter without possibly breaking the door. I put my own temporary fix in place but now I am changing things up for a more permanent and reliable solution. A must have for spaces that have no man door or windows or other methods of entry without using the garage door!'

A small "U" bolt would allow you to make up a few turns. It really doesn't matter what it looks like as long as it functions.

Thanks for the video, I like your style on how you did this. Gotta try all the harbor freight tools, I will use my step drill as well, can't find my spring-loaded center punch. Maybe 1/2 inch is fine for the larger inner hole.
