The only thing 'wrong' here is that he has any blood type other than O-. If he has, lets just say, 10 bags per person and its for 4 people, then he has to store 40 bags _BUT_ some people can receive more of the blood than others. Gus has a 10 bag limit while Jesse has 20 since Jesse can use his 10 _and also_ Gus' 10, while if the doc just had 40 bags of O- then everyone would have 40 bags available (namely his boss). Now, im no doctor so idk if theres a limit to how much of the universal donor blood type you can give someone, and with my arbitrary numbers i doubt someone is surviving 40 bags worth of blood loss anyways, but having anything other than the universal donor when its such a small operation seems weird, like the writters went with showing off Gus' planning but at the cost of forgoing pragmatism.
