I have travelled all over the world - quite literally as a merchant seaman, working offshore and backpacking. I have been travelling since I was sixteen years old and I now sixty eight and still going. I have visited countries as diverse as Papua New Guinea and the Melanesian Islands, Polynesia, China, Inner Mongolia, Tibet, Nepal, Burma, Cambodia, Brasil, Boliva and Paraguay plus Africa. So far I have been to twenty six countries in Africa both for work and pleasure. I have backpacked and trecked in Mali, Burkina Fasso, Cameroun & Nigeria. Safaris in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia and do you know by far one of my favourite places is NIGERIA bar none. I love going to Nigera, I love the people and the food - just as well as my wife is Nigerian and does not cook Oyibo chop-oh. I have just returned to Europe from Nigeria about ten days ago and all being well I hope to be back in June. Out of the more than eighty countries I have visited I think my favourite is Nigeria.

@@TML0677 When you mention the state of Iraq, you remember 18 years of problems and wars and forget that it is a country that is given credit in the whole world, and from it emerged the first human civilizations that paved the way for humanity, and that it was so. And therefore. The capital of the world only 400 years ago in the era of the Abbasid state and the source of knowledge, but what about the present? Iraq not so long ago was the best and most advanced in the Middle East, the present of Iraq would not have reached this form had it not been for the invasion of Iraq, and in the argument of weapons of mass destruction, which later turned into a lie, this invasion destroyed education, army and infrastructure, paving the way. to the emergence of extremist Islamic groups. By the way, Iraq is not an Islamic country. We are multi-religious and half of our people are Kurds, not Arabs. Free spirited people we are and most of us don't dislike other countries. I dont think most Nigerians dislike Muslim countries. Many of us come from families with Muslims and non-Muslims. The problem is the long war against Boko Haram (over 10 years now) and it has claimed the lives of over 100,000 people. And generally, people see countries with similar experiences like Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan in a similar perspective.
