Por lejos, la mejor version de la cuarta sinfonia que he oido. Sylvia hizo un gran trabajo aqui. Su es voz es muy clara y dulce, disfruta mucho cantar puede notarse como saborea las palabras, su vivrato es elegante y agradable , (no como otras soprano que tienen vivrato tan amplio que parece trino.) El Glissando que hace en el 56:34 es perfecto.

I wasn't really taken in by the first movement, it seemed just perfunctory to me, but each succeeding movement was definitely up there, among the best. The third movement, as close to perfection as I've ever heard. The First Horn, and the whole section throughout, excellent! McNair, brava!

Do we have a date of this performance? Haitink consistently turns in excellent Mahler performances and for many years and it is interesting to witness his conducting development over the years with Mahler And so it would be interesting to know about when this performance occurred. Thanks

Ok I got it at the end titles, 1992 which was about when I thought it was performed. Haitink was pretty much at his apex in those years. Thanks for the upload it was a flawless performance, one of the best I've ever heard.
