So I got Two gold over silver pieces from GVJ and the quality is great for it being a gold over silver. Gus literally said it the best “one fades, one is solid….one of them is parking your money, the other one your just buying the look” I’m happy with it overall but I know one day it won’t look as nice as the day I opened my package. Also The only thing that I noticed on my pieces that was off was that there was some gold plating missing in between the links and on the lock. Other then that the chain look great and I compared it to a 6mm solid 14k Miami Cuban and they was basically identical except for the fact that the color in the gos was a little more yellow then the solid gold. It took about a month of casual wear for the gos chain to fade….The gold plating is not completely gone just slightly less bright then before. And for some reason it got really dirty fast like it had a light black tarnish on it, so I did a cleaning with hot water baking soda and foil and it brought it back to normal with a nice little shine. Hope this helps anyone who has the same issue.

Hey you help bro I buy a silver cuban from gus bro and it start becoming tarnishing I try the baking soda, foil paper n hot water stuff but it still looks tarnish with the brown spot. I truly feel like dnt even wanna wear the chain no more due to that

@@AccentBwoy I would 1st reach out to GVJ to get a replate, I think he give your first plate for free (if not just pay him cuz it’s not that expensive), also you can take your jewelry to a local jeweler to see if they could do an ultrasonic clean and polish…..It will never be the same once you start wearing it, at some point it will start to fade. Keep that in mind homie. 💯💯💯

Wish yall still made GOS. I got 10mm from Gus and 1 year later. It still looks brand new. I also have a solid gold 5mm for everyday use. Im not spending 15k on 10mm solid when I only wear once a month when I go out. Thats just not good investing unless you got it like that. But I like to act my wage. I make 200k a year not 2 million 🤷🏾‍♂️

@waltermiller2534 That's different cause now it's being passed down you're not reselling. I have a solid 5mm. Don't think I'd ever do solid 10mm. I can't justify spending more than 5k at a time on any jewelry. Crazy I live in LA. Couple friends that moved from Southern Cali tell me 200k a year in most states I'd be rich 🤷🏾‍♂️ This weather tho can't be beaten.

I have 3 GVJ chains. 2 being GoS and the other being an 18K. The quality between all of them are super noticeable. The GoS chain has a rattling box lock with deformed clamps and cracks with good sized black pits on several of the links. The tang doesn’t even have the GVJ logo on it for some reason too. The GoS bracelet does have the logo on the tang and is actually better in quality all around. The 18K chain now is light years better in quality compared to the GoS chain. Almost feels like the GoS chain was made somewhere else or something with how noticeable the difference in quality it is.

@@AccentBwoy I’ve had them for about 6 months and daily wore them for about 4 months. They held up fine with the exception of the box clasp on the chain. Started to fade and discolor. The bracelet has been a tank.

It would be easier to spot if jewelers didn’t add the same 24k plating of solid gold pieces. 10k would look way lighter in comparison to 18, 22, and 24k.

I call BS. I have a 10k and a GoS, and the GoS doesn't shine the same and has a slightly opaque brown look versus the real deal. And after a few years, the GoS has tarnish stains.

You also gotta think. They flash dip the Chains in 18-24K dip. It’ll look more yellow at first. Even the 10K chains look 18K-24K when u first get them, usually at Gus or even daniels
