Brady's first game back from ACL injury and of course came back from 24-13 in the 4th to win in the oddest way thanks to a kick return/fumble and throwing to Ben Watson. What a little known classic in NFL lore.

During this era, the Bills, Lions, and Texans ALL found ways to lose games against the good teams no matter how big the point differential was. It was crazy to watch. I remember a thanksgiving game the lions were winning against some team in the first half and to the 3rd quarter, and then proceeded to get blown out the rest of the game. It was surreal watching lol

He definitely does. I'd argue even better. 2009 was a rough year for us losing 6 games then getting blown out in the wildcard round. After that I think Brady had a wake up call cause he got better and better as the years progressed. At 43 he is playing at a higher rate then when he was in 2009.

Those Bills’ throwbacks were way better looking than those home/away uniforms they were sporting at the time. 3. It’s still weird seeing T.O. in a Bills’ uniform. 4. 2009 was right in the middle of a 20 year long nightmare for Buffalo against New England. The Bills went 4-35 against the Patriots from December of 2000 through December of 2019. This game was the 12th consecutive loss of a 15 game losing streak to New England at the time. Buffalo swept the Patriots in 2020 for the first time since 1999. The Bills might soon have their own run of dominance over New England and maybe even some postseason success because they are very good and relatively young.

Trent Edwards came that close to joining a surprisingly long list of awful to mediocre quarterbacks that beat Tom Brady in New England. From 2002-2019 Brady went 113-20 at home during the regular season and 19-4 during the playoffs. Eight of those 20 regular season L's came against flotsam and jetsom such as Brian Griese, Sam Bradford, Jake Plummer, Gus Frerotte, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Kevin Kolb, and Chad Pennington (Twice). The playoff losses are just baffling. They were at the hands of Ryan Tannehill, Mark Sanchez, and Joe Flacco. (Also TWICE)

Well, they were undergoing a soft rebuild, mainly on defense. Brady was still really good but not at his best in 09. Schedule was brutal. They were 6-2 before they blew the Colts game.
