Right off the Ole Miss campus in Oxford, MS there is an Abner's Chicken opened by Abner White who played football for the Rebs and was aghast there was no chicken joint in the town square. All they sold were tenders. It's probably been over 25 years since I last ate there (I am in Texas now)...but they were certainly better than Cain's for sure...so there's that.
