Heads up to Joe and any Raising Cane's newcomers, you can ask for the Texas Toast to have Butter on Both sides (BOB) for no charge, and it's like the de facto way to have the bread. The fries are usually the weakest part, but if there had to be a weak link I'm glad the fries take the dip. Other than that, the promo pics are pretty accurate to the at-location serving and I hope you get to try their cole slaw someday. It made me realize that I like my cole slaw crisp and crunchy. Excellent video, Joe! Glad to see you survived Popeye's torture meal!

As a person who has worked at a handful of fast food restaurants, Cane's is the only one I will still eat at. It's quality stuff. I agree that the fries are mediocre, if they had a Culver's tier of crinkle cut fries they would easily jump up another point. I think the texas toast is underwhelming as well. But here's my tips to make your Cane's experience better: 1. If you're bringing your Cane's home, order it extra crispy, it will maintain its crispiness longer. 2. To make the toast less underwhelming ask for butter on both sides, it makes it a lot tastier and gets the workers to pay extra attention to your toast, usually resulting in a better crispiness. 3. If you don't like the toast at all you can ask for "no toast extra fries" and you'll get double the fries instead for no extra charge. 4. The previous tip also applies to all sides, they can all be swapped for one another but extra fries is the best value as ordering extra fries without swapping is the most expensive, but is free of charge with the swap. 5. Cane's also has a honey mustard that they mix in house that not a lot of people know about and it can be a nice change of pace from the Cane's sauce. Personally when I eat there I go for the box combo, no coleslaw extra fries, butter both sides toast, plus an extra Cane's sauce. Im not trying to pretend to be healthy with my deep fried and over 1000 calorie meal by eating some shitty coleslaw. I know what I'm doing when I go to Cane's and that is raising my cholesterol on a cheat day.

Wanted to share our drinking game with everyone. It does fall apart when watching some older videos but it makes for a good time: Drink whenever: - Priscilla is on the screen. - A restaurant doesn’t publish serving weights. - A dish is over $0.90 an ounce. - Joe doesn’t show the tear on the scales. - Joe claps. - A worker acknowledges camera or knows of Joe. - Food fails a test. - You don’t say “bite test engage” when Joe does. - Joe throws a Diet Coke and it doesn’t makes it off the screen. - Joe says something negative about BK. - Joe uses Daisy sour cream. - Joe talks down to Shadow Joe. Guesses: - If you correctly guess the city of the restaurant, everyone else drinks. - Everyone guesses the score, and everyone but the closest guess drinks. - If someone guesses the exact score, everyone else takes a shot.

when canes opened here around a year ago it was so fucking good. 3 tenders and fries were plenty for a full meal. the crisp even travelled well for 10-15 minutes, way more than mom n pop places 5 minutes away. Drive-thru was a madhouse. Now the tenders are way smaller, a little rubbery, no crisp and weak fries. Their sauce is amazing though, can't lie

Cane's is about the only fast food place I'll visit We always have to give it some time to cool. I like the simple menu. Always order extra crispy fries. The sandwich is good, and I don't even like chicken sandwiches. Franchises are consistent, too. Extra crispy fries and fresh Texas toad would increase the number by a full point.

That's a shame, my local Cane's is always ridiculously good. I ask for butter on both sides of the toast, replace the coleslaw with an extra toast, and "extra crispy" on the fries and chicken so they go down just a bit longer and get that extra crunch. It's super worth it.

I LOVE Canes chicken! But their sides have long been just okay. Personally, I think the Fry's and Toast are great if you dip them in the sauce. But I'm never going to canes because I crave the sides, it's all about those fingers! Frys and never crispy and crunchy, never have been. Same with the toast - it's soft! Maybe they're afraid to change it at this point, but those tenders keep me coming back.

Cane's doesn't travel well, if I can't eat Cane's at the restaurant I go some where else and I live 6 minutes from a Cane's. The chicken and fries get soggy within 3+ minutes of leaving the fryer. In my experience Cane's fries are on point 9 out of 10 times. (Whataburger fries are the most inconsistent.) The only thing about Cane's that I find variable is the size of the chicken strips. Sometimes you look at your plate and it's big chicken and other times it's small chicken. The other Cane's hack is to delete one of the sides and ask for extra fries.
