I play rhythm in our church. The Big Daddy chords. Mainly C, E, and A shapes. You have challenged me to start learning triads. Which is helping me to learn the rest of my fretboard better and putting in a few lead notes here and there. Although it's tough relearning songs in a new way, I can see that it is going to help me. Thank you for trying so hard to help people understand the concepts.

Just a little update after practicing some this morning. Been watching GT videos for about a month or two, just trying to take it all in. Purchased the mp3 with GT and Uncle Larry. So many good concepts. After the GT, BP vid on Soloing Over The Chord Changes and this one on triads, I downloaded a guitar fretboard pic that shows the notes, and boy, triads and inversions has opened up a new world for me. No more root note dictating where I need to be. It's going to take some time to get it all in, but I like where this is going. The options of where to play on the fretboard has grown exponentially. This is going to change the way I play guitar. Thanks again, GT. Don't give up. There are some of us old guys that it takes a while to catch on.

Dude, I am so happy that I stumbled across an interview with you and Tom on Rick Beto's channel, and I'm happy I did. I'm 53 years old and grew up on Motown and classic rock being from Detroit, Michigan. I didn't start playing until the 90s. I learned the Cowboy chords but never understood theory until I watched you break the caged system down, and I actually understand the concept....I swear it was designed for the entire fretboard with standard tuning being used. I am so excited now that I understand Positions and the shapes....My left hand rarely has to move, everything is right next to each other once you understand the concept and ger the muscle memoey for the shapes, and just map it out...Thanks for the encouragement with your incredible playing...You and Tom throw so much feeling into your playing. I got a buddy from Michigan thats my age that moved to Nashville and was a session guitarists and I seen him playing on television with a band he got hired to play in. Thanks once again for you and Tom doing Rick Beto show.

Add a distortion and that's a Nuno riff for you! So thankful for your content and glad that karma pays what's due man! Something i keep wondering though: you clearly set the major focus on triads on your playing, but something is still missing for me and it doesn't click in my head the way i want. It's hard to figure out for me how to get ideas/motifs/themes on which you get to apply triads and any other concept you show to us. I would be interested in how you mentally approach that part, i think that's where you get the edge man (which might involve a bit of secret sauce of you being you i guess).
