It's so great to see your musical career taking off with a full tank o' gas! It's clear that you've got a gift as a player/performer and a teacher. Even when you share on KZbin for just a few minutes it's gold for us here. No need to apologize for not making frequent and regular videos. We know you're out there doing what you love and what we love. Only one Guthrie Trapp. Part of ya clearly isn't human. What planet are ya actually from Lightnin' Fingers?

First, LOVED your video with Tom. But Mr Guthrie, let me be so bold as to repeat what i commented on Uncle Larry's channel. I've been playing guitar a VERY long time, since my early teens, and you and Uncle Larry have been two of the hugely influential artists in my musical life. For sure, i learn "technique" by following you two, most significantly though, I have been impacted deeply on how to be musical, be a musician, how to think and "be" musically. I am ever so grateful.

Don't short change yourself brother, you are a great player and teacher of the guitar. I have learned so much from you and keep looking on the calendar for the opening to schedule a lesson or two with you. It would scare the hell out of me to play in front of you just as you felt with Tom. He is a beast for sure, but you both friggin amaze me!

There are different teachers for different times in a guitarist's journey. I've been dedicated to playing 3 years. Guthrie, your lessons are SPOT ON for a progressing musicians who moved beyond the basics and are trying to play real music, musically. I really appreciate the time and effort you spend to help us grow. Thank you.

I’m busy too though man… so no pressure at all. You’ve already got a library of good information in previous videos I can look back on- and the zoom lesson. Thanks again for that.

You have made me LOVE this kind of acoustic music! That Martin is pure joy to hear. By the way, while Uncle Larry is a monster guitar player, you shined like I can't even imagine at Brett's place!! That was such a pleasure to catch! So glad to see you this morning, too! 🙏🙏🙏

Great seeing you again Guthrie. That Sunday video was so cool, it is amazing how music brings so many laid back cool people together. You have the courage of a lion, King of the jungle to close your eyes in that group though bro. LOL 😂 I hate I missed Jazz Fest this year, besides covid it is the first time in almost 2 decades, bills and repairs all piled up at once. You and Tom play off of each other like Duane and Dickey. I was thinking it would be cool for y’all to form a band along with players on a B3, piano, bass, horns, 2 drummers, and maybe a great vocalist with some background singers. Fans need some new killer bands like the Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, War, Average White Band, Santana, some good jam bands, etc. Thanks. 🎸👍🙏😎✌️
