There are those who actually complain about Guthrie’s Camo hat? Just ignore the musical gift and heart to share great guitar teaching! I have been around people who when they like you feel they can show you that by giving you crap.? Just appreciate Guthrie. He’s a GEM!

@driventhebandarizona35066 ай бұрын
@@bryanh3057 Guthrie mentioned someone complained about a camo hat he wears in previous videos. He went on to explain he likes wearing hats because of hair loss that he is insecure about. Trivial stuff and I can’t understand how anyone can not focus on the incredible talent and musicality?

I too started going bald in my twenties, shaved my head and had people telling me i Should wear a hat, go figure. Your channel and style of teaching is the best, hat or not.
@jeffro.6 ай бұрын
Good to see ya again, GT! Wanna talk about "owning it...?" Like you, i started losing my hair early (thanks, Dad!), and i ended up shaving my head. Not exactly "shaving it," i always have like a crew cut. I like to leave a few mm of hair length, i just think it looks better than "shiny." Luckily, i have a head shape that actually looks good with "bald!" I've seen countless guys that don't. Not sure what other options they have, but shaved just isn't for them! Anyway, my dad always did the "comb over." Even after he saw how good my head looked. I also grew a beard in my early 20s, kept it for 20 years, until i took some training where i had to wear a gas mask. I can't believe one other guy in the class travelled all that way, took a week of lecture classes, and when i came time for the 3 days of "practicals," where ya put everything you learned into action (and of course REQUIRED to get the certification), this other guy said, "No way I'm shaving off my beard!" They told him to leave! Anyway, I don't wear hats much. I have a few cool hats that I like, and when i did have hair i didn't like the "hat hair" that i always got! So now, it's like a new freedom! But still, i mostly don't wear hats, cuz i "own it." I also discovered most women actually like it. My wife sure does! Of course i wear one (usually a ball cap) to protect myself from the sun, and i have nice "double-layer" watch cap that i wear to keep warm, and sometimes a Stetson type cowboy hat, just cuz it looks cool! And guess what---no hat hair! Stay frosty, GT! Keep up the excellent videos, and of course, the music! Glad, really glad to seeya interviewed by Rick Beato, he's another good guy! (And what a head o' hair, lol.) 👍 👌 🤪

Man, we cannot seem to get away from the haters, trolls, SOB's, a$$h0les, whichever name they want to be called by. WTH? One thing that impresses me about you Nashville guys is how nice you come across. These days we are so used to the beings that I described before that niceness, politeness, courtesy, chivalry, honesty, humility.... all those "southern" and "country" attributes that we grew up with almost seem foreign...almost. Great vid by the way. Love it!

Guthrie, I'm 57 years old last Friday. I spent 50 years in Northeast TN, and being judged is a given, people don't have much to do, obviously. I moved over to Hickory NC and married an outspoken high school teacher, we aren't winning a popularity contest, for sure. After COVID, most computer science/engineering jobs are work from home now, so I gave up the suit and the crew cut, and grew my hair back out, wearing old concert T-shirts, ratty jeans, and old tennis shoes or loafers. I AM ME. YOU BE YOU. Our diversity is our strength, not a weakness! Much Love and Respect My Friend! - Edgar

Mr GT, to have sat in the rear seat just listening to two of my favorite people and musicians would have been an education of a lifetime. Funny, unlike most guitarists, i didn't start with the Pentatonics, but the major and minor scales. It took a while to not play all the notes. We know pentatonics are foundational to all the blues, rock, roots, soul music we love, but having those other notes under our fingers really adds so much. My most genuine thanks for giving of yourself to us...
