Makes me want to pick up the guitar even though I know in 100 lifetimes I'll never get anywhere near this ...... he makes it look so easy and fun. Great stuff Guthrie

Use a DAW, like Garage Band, and use one of the drummers on there and add the bass track on top.
@joemanez5290 Жыл бұрын
Not sure if someone already got this out there, but the reason your bass track is off is latency-the time it takes to process the signal. There’s a definitely a way to set that in your software so that when you record, it’s tracking in time.

Is that the one with all the nuts and bolts shaped into musicians that swing back and forth? I love that one. Ambient Backing Tracks is awesome as well for some great drone sounds. On your computer, you can start up a rhythm track then open up another page and play one of these drones. Solos for days and in key after key. I practice Guthrie's triads and arpeggios that way a lot. Im a gettin there and lovin it.

Tom Bailey Music as well. Those are short song backing tracks and it keep your ear open for when the chords change. This stuff is working for me. I wanted to add that Guthrie's Artistworks course shows how to practice the Hybrid Picking stuff. It's very basic and he shows how to get the Mark Knopfler sounds, or at least how to begin. The rest is up to us.
