It is first day at the university for Dr.Shyam Prasad. His task for the day is to lecture a final year Masters in Psychology class. He has returned to India after a long stint as professor abroad and hence the task in front of him is slightly more challenging. How does he go about facing his students? How do the students receive him?

Loved the short. Might feel like nitpicking, but a flaw in the sub-story seems apparent. If the child never really spent any time with the Father, the chances of developing a personality trait(the sound) are probably zero. Such quirks aren't inherited, but mostly acquired due to environment or real world interaction with people. So one way the sub-story would make sense is that the Mother herself probably taught it to her daughter.

@Sushanth K I understand. What I mean is the cooked up story isn't strong enough for a student to react in such a way. If the students were really psychology students, they'd be clever enough to realize the story was not only cooked up but also impossible to occur(because of the reasons I mentioned) and so wouldn't turn towards the whistler.

@Sushanth K The director has freedom sure, but it's just a very weak sub-story, one that doesn't help establish the professor's superiority actually. So it feels like it was written just to make sure the professor wins at the end. Not convincing enough as I was able to guess this from the start, that he'd win by making a gimmick. Expected the gimmick to be possible that's all. Great short in every other way though.
