honestly the golden age arc memorial edition turns it into a pretty damn solid adaptation, like the problem of it being too cut up and not fully fleshing out the story is gone.

I'm actually afraid they will cut small things or make them shorter for the episode format. In the first episode they shortened the flashback to Gambino from 1minute 50sec to just 46 seconds. It was still a good scene in the show but the extra minute in the move made the slow buildup to Gambino a lot more intense imo. I hope that will be the only case of the movie doing something better than the show. I was really excited for the show to be better than the movies in every way

I really like how this all seems more close to reality in how they move and how the scenery in the animation looks. Also Griffith seemed to be someone non threatening and carefree when we see him around Guts and the Hawks until later scenes happen with how he has to deal with the oligarchs in the kingdom who want to overthrow anyone in their power structure
