Gutter Cleaning with Blower Attachment

I am tired of cleaning gutters, lifting heavy gear, and climbing a ladder to slip on the roof. I searched around and based on other people's attempts, I decided to craft my own rain gutter cleaner attachment. It works great, better than I hoped. This style can attach to most blowers. It has a good center of gravity so it is not much heavier than the blower when held upwards. I hope to connect this to a garage shop vacuum at some time for when I want to not blow the leaves. Give it a try, build one - DIY.

I used it again last week, a year later. It does great on dry to moist leaves. When the gutter is full of wet leaves, it may not have enough power.

I'm going to do this! I would suggest for your safety, though, that you not use a bungee cord. Half inch strap and buckle or even chute cord and trucker's hitch keeps your device connected with no chance of bungee cord hook damaging your eyes. Remember ophthalmologists make a great living off bungee cord injuries!

I had to make sure the air was not leaking back through the connection to the blower. Otherwise, the air velocity would not be enough.

Part of my company is gutter cleaning, so I gutter cleaning in volume if you accidentally hit a overhead power line would you get electrocuted?

That is a good question. It is possible to be electrocuted hitting a power line depending on the circumstances. I am not sure that electricity will travel down PVC. But the PVC could be wet. Basically, stay away from power lines unless you have training and appropriate equipment. Safety first.

Less than $10. Get the really thin PVC not made for pressure.
