Forget just wasn't in his class on grass.A better match,in my opinion,was his match against Ramnesh Krishnan at the Open(I forgot the year).It was,at times,a showcase for his shot making.Sometimes he had a tendency to overuse the drop shot but ,in this match it produced some great points.

I have a picture taken of me standing there on Centre Court Wimbledon two days after Mr McEnroe beat Mr Borg in 1981. I had tickets to see him and others play last year here in Orlando. I was going to ask him if he would sign the picture. It's one of my most prized possessions. Is there any way I could ask him to sign it? It is going to be in my man cave and having him sign it would be perfect. Thank you.

McEnroe has been my tennis hero since I was a kid. I consider myself his biggest fan. Three years ago, he came to my tennis club to play an exhibition against Andres Gomez. After the match (which he won easily), the managers of the club secretly arranged for me to meet John before a cocktail party and press conference. I ended up talking to him for about an hour, on my own! He gave me the trophy he had won that day, and signed my book (his first biography), my Nike Crosstrainer shoes, and my Dunlop Max 200G racquet, that I had taken to the match. All are among my most treasured possessions, as are the moments I spent talking to my childhood idol. They say you should never meet your heroes, but McEnroe surprised me by being genuinely grateful that someone had admired him almost all his life. He always attends events with a manager that fixes his playing and social agenda. It’s through him that you could arrange for Mac to sign your picture. Good luck.
