Loved the video. The mug in Guy's hand in the last storm shot before the last video scene was a great poetic element to show how the character was coming back from deep thought to smell the coffee.

Fantastic! And you got to work with a famous Aussie actor! Many would consider this only a dream, but you've all made it a reality. Congrats!

Wow Top Notch!!! Excellent song and video! It’s better than a lot of MTV videos I used to watch in the 80ies.

Great job Michael! We all knew you had great talent since Doomsday Arcade, and you've kept proving us right ever since! Great to see you making it big! Keep at it! :D

Jesus, you've gone a really damn long way since Doomsday Arcade. I mean i really loved that, but now you're in a goddamn studio with a huge crew and what seems like a pretty darn large budget. Now that is impressive.

Great video. But also, it would be nice to see how Guy Pearce's mouth in normal speed was put together with slo-mo footage.

Digital Composting. Basically you film the base scene, so in this case the slow mo, then you'd film the same scene (with the same lighting/position(depending on what your composting) and etc...) but in normal speed with him lipsyncing and you composite (combine) the face (or just parts) onto the slow mo. Some scenes you could actually do in one shot with the slow mo but lipsync faster to sync mouth to audio, but this is dependent on the scene.

Didn't he say he used 2 different cameras? One for the body in slow-mo, one for the head in real-time.

For those who answered - thanks for comments, I kind of knew the technique behind this effect already, I was more interested in little aspects of it. For example - for putting normal speed footage above slo-mo footage, you would need to mask off some part of slo-mo footage (jaw of Guy Pearce in this case). But since slo-mo was shot without green screen, it's interesting for me how they did the masking - did they shot same scene with Guy, then without him, or did they use some sort of stamp tool or masking to clone some parts of background. Also, tracking of slo-mo footage and stabilization of normal speed footage was almost perfect, it's interesting how they've done that.

haha I also have been wondered about it but now I know what was going on. Only in the scene that he move his mouth, he moved his mouth slowly in reality when he took the scene. And you know, CG made the scene looks almost same with other scenes that had made speedly and later slowed down. Hope this was a small help :)
