Oh my goodness. You are in for a treat following Guy. His songs are beautifully deep, musically beautiful and sung with a superb voice. This song was a tribute to his friend and colleague Luke, who took his life. The video for this song right at the end shows Guy’s son and Luke’s son standing together. So moving.

He originally made the song slower but he couldn’t sing it without crying so he made it more upbeat. He is the purest soul, it shows in all his songs. My favorite is believer that he wrote for his wife❤

Guy Sebastian is huge in Australia, he has had some success in the USA when he did a duet with Lupe Fiasco, Battle scars! All of his songs are great. His voice is phenomenal and songs usually have a deeper meaning.

This song was written for his close mate and band member who committed suicide. Guy has phenomenal vocal talent and is also a very talented musician and songwriter. His acoustic performance of Battle Scars is probably his best ever followed closely by his performance of Standing with You on the Voice (where he is a judge).

I then mentioned his best performances, one of which was on the voice where he is a judge. His success as a judge has absolutely nothing at all to do with his performance or anything else I said. Guy wrote this about loosing a close friend a tribute to him Sadly his friend took his own life guy done interview on it to bring it in the public arena He also wrote one for his wife who suffers depression the song Standing with you If you go to KIIS 1065 Type guy Sebastian surprises school and he sings the song after kids ask him to Standing with you He wrote for his wife but the song you just watch he sneaks in while the kids choir was practising it A must see so if you get a chance to watch it Just a great Aussie bloke He even sings a song for our military which we called Anzacs and separate every year for the fallen it's called Anzac day The song he sings is battle scares and please watch him live way better Always 👍to you I been loving your site for some time now cheers mate

Just a couple of points 😊 … He wrote Believer for his wife and Standing With You for a relative suffering depression. The Battle Scars song was brilliantly performed in his home studio as a tribute for the Anzacs, but not written for them. He’s tremendously talented isn’t he? Songs are so emotional that we can all relate.
