They even had to account for the curvature of the earth when building the towers. The bottoms and tops aren't equal distance from each other.

Paint is heavy especially zinc (galvanized) paint. That bridge like others has multiple coats but this think is very long (twss).

Most of the technology utilised in the construction of this structure was developed in the UK/USA.

Looks like the Mighty Mac. They just copied it from the looks of it and it is the longest as far as I know. Probably the Japanese had to make theirs a few yards longer for bragging rights. They paint the Mac from one end to the other and never stop. It's in freshwater though. And, I forgot, it's been in place since 1957.

Most US infrastructure is falling apart. Including some of it's oldest bridges, and dams etc. Pretty much thanks to republican ideology giving zero regards to how important infrastructure is
