And when a small country starts to use these resources, they start to cry about ethics and climate. They must be penalized for what they did to the climate during the industrial revolution and must pay for the development of small countries.

It is so vastly unfair for developed nations to criticize developing nations for producing oil when they massively benefits financially from more than 100 years of oil exploitation before we take climate change seriously. In terms of forest area percentage, UK and US are much much lower than countries such as Guyana and Suriname. Instead of criticizing Guyana, these westerns countries should focus more on reforestation like what China is doing.
