Can you use only yeast and not baking powder? What is the difference between the yeast and baking for the outcome?

Both baking powder and yeast help give baked/fried goods that rise but the process by which they do so is different. When added to a recipe, baking powder releases carbon dioxide gas through the dough, causing the food to puff up, On the other hand, yeast feeds on the sugars in the flour, release carbon dioxide in the process, which then causes the food to rise. Both processes release carbon dioxide to lighten the dough but yeast is much slower adding baking powder give the bara a more fluffy texture, yes u can used all yeast or baking powder I personally used both for the reason explained above hope this was helpful 🫶🏽

My pleasure don't know why this is happening here is the ingredients enjoy Ingredients 3 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup Chickpea 1 1/2 tbsp yeast (I used rapid rise ) 1 Tsp baking powder 1/2 Tbsp salt 1 Tsp sugar 1 Tsp roasted jeera 2 Tbsp green seasoning 1 scallion 1 cup chopped spinach 1/2 Tsp yellow food coloring 2 cups Luke warm water (u may need more or less depending on flour texture and climate) Oil for frying

I like using the oil instead of water to wet my hands in that way it don’t splash up in the oil
