honestly I don't care what anyone else says yes James bullied Snape but did he not help Snape when Sirius dared him to go down the to the Shrecking Shat and was almost killed by remus.Yes James was a bully but so was Snape and I think Lily chose him because she knew James changed for the good not like Snape who changed for the worse. I also know that Snape died for the wizarding world but he also asked if only Lily could survive not harry and James died to save both. But hey that's just my opinion so please don't hate.on me

He wasn't really a bully in School, really only when he was older. The Abused becomes the Abuser, same thing with bullying. The Bullied becomes the Bully.

You mean Snape? I agree that circumstances (aka the fact that he was abused) might have had a part in it too, but he did hang out with the future Death Eaters and they, from what I've understood, did bully basically everyone, but especially muggleborns.

I actually agree with you. Sure Snape was a dick, but only when he got older. And this was bc his student's parent used to bully him. But James was an asshole, just bc he was a Gryffindor doesn't mean he was good. take a look at Peter.

While I agree with you in a way, he was also a kid . Snape was an adult taking out his guilt, anger, and feelings of inadequacy out on his students. James grew up. But that's why I love both of these characters. They're not all good, but they're not all bad either.

Snape was the most tragic character to come out of Harry Potter... he loved her up to the day he died, and he tried to protect Harry because his love for Lily was just so strong.... he wasn't a bad guy... he was just misunderstood because he kept his walls up and never showed how much he was hurt.... That, is tragic, and that is why Snape will always be one of my favorite characters
