I will speak only for expacs that i played: Cata: transmog MOP: agree with OP pretty much, non-raid content WOD: raiding Legion: big bag cleanup - transmog in a menu, materials stacking up to 200 pcs (the latter i think was WOD?) BFA: horrific visions SL: dropped out really early but gotta say torghast with its challenge mode, 18-floor runs that had no power tied to them. that was actually fun to do. DF: torn between dynamic flying, talents and gear upgrade system. these systems are all really good TWW: cant say yet, for now delves. gotta say leveling up is kinda scuffed. Levels 1-9 i drive around that slow heirloom mount and then at level 10 i suddenly have a 730% dynamic flying unlocked automatically? I don't even have to spend 5k gold for riding skill? I liked progression in mounts. Reaching these new levels to gain access to flying was nice. Now I can fly at maximum possible speed while still doing Elwynn Forest questing which is... odd.

I think my favorite thing about Vanilla is that normal zone mobs aren't nessicarily a joke. If you've ever fought some of the higher level non elite Silithus mobs, you know what I mean. I felt like they sort of carried this on for TBC, but when Wrath hit, normal zone mobs just because completely trival. They were able to be 1 shot by 1 GCD once you're in like Ulduar gear and above.

Same I also enjoyed what I called mini dungeons, places like Stonewatch keep were so memorable for me because of how dangerous they were. It wouldn't have had nearly the same impact if I was able to just run in real fast, burst down Tharil'zun, and leave.

Ya, leveling was actually part of the game and not just something to get out of the way just to get to the end game. I remember in, I think it was Cata, where they intentionally tried to bring back 'elites' or you could almost call them 'mini-bosses', in various leveling zones but the player characters were so overpowered that they weren't even a challenge. I started playing in very early BC( I never bought the expansion till months later, but it was BC I was playing with my Vanilla account). Anyway, I recall just leveling up my Warrior and anytime I ran across a group of mobs my first thought was "I sure hope there are no casters in that group" because it was often guaranteed death. Just being a caster NPC back then was basically an "elite", lol. At least to my Warrior at that time and because I didn't know all the tricks to the class. Probably the other thing I miss, the game didn't handhold you. I'm so glad I didn't know about things like addons and questie back then. That woulda made it so much less fun.

Adding the monk class is the best over all. And delves ( not having to deal with toxic players )

BfA was amazing due to Horrific Visions. I love Delves now because they are a continuation of Horrific Visions.

Ill be writing this as the video goes: Vanilla = Leveling TBC = Professions/yewels Wrath = DKs Cata = 5 level increase instead of 10, makes for less powercreep MoP = either PvP or the addition of the monk class, i liked both WoD = all the small world event thingies that were even marked on your minimap Legion = artifact weapons, only bad part about them was loosing them which was admittedly ass BfA = Warmode Shadow Lands = // Dragonflight = Dragon riding The War Within = Talent Trees / Delves

Vanilla = same TBC = IDK didnt play :D Wrath = Theme of Northrend Cata = World changes and partly destruction of our beloved azeroth (made story more relevant) Mop = Theme of Pandaria, Isle of Thunder, Monks

Cata healing wasn't harder, its just more interactive than previous versions. Also, there's no such thing as a healing rotation. Its using the right spells, and weaving them together at the right time. From me, a Heroic Dragon Soul completion raider, over a decade ago. Legion continues to be the worst expansion because it now takes up inventory space permanently for artifact weapons. The artifact power was cool until they made it unlimited on the Broken Isles, then that created the whole "You need X on final skill to enter our content" gatekeepers. Thanks Blizzard, I have to be super active as people who play 10+ hours a day. Oh, on top of that, the Command Table, they not only doubled down during WoD with shipyards, they tripled down on this expansion too.

Man, I hated leveling in Vanilla. It wasn't rewarding at all, due to bad itemization.

Vanilla leveling is fine the first couple times. After that, it becomes boring. Granted I have played since the original beta, so I had to do it so often. And you cannot compare the leveling of Vanilla/Classic to the leveling in SoD and Hardcore, because those two are such different experiences.

Nah, the "trial" is the first 30 lvls, after that classes starts to form to there speccs, 30-60 is the most fun, at lvl 40 you can start to farm preraid bis and stuff like that, the first lvls are the worst, its good they go by so fast!

@@MrCoolkille94 I had multiple level 60 characters in Classic. While characters really bloomed after 30, you were stuck doing the same damn quests as you did before. 30-60 is just as tedious as 1-30. 1-30 is better because it is done quicker. So, no, my point still stands.

Are we sure it's not worst feature of every expansion he made here? Best feature of Vanilla: Progression outside raids. Non time gated things. TBC: rework of classes so a lot of the classes got closer to finished WOTLK: Not sure what to put here was mediocre back then imo. maybe conclusion to the arthas storyline. Worst by far changing raids to having different difficulties. Cataclysm: Hunter rework. Hunter should never have had mana. MOP: Didnt play WOD: Didnt play Legion: M+ was insanely fun but it's also the worst since it's lead to redoing the same dungeon forever every new patch. BFA: Honestly can't recall anything I look back to as good defining feature. Shadowlands: Covenants were fun. It's a bit of a shame it was so unbalanced. Dragnflight: Stopped playing after 1 season and I dont recall anything good about the expansion either. Didnt play the newest expansions.
