Great video ! You are like a Pro ,only you are legit. Tip for pulling hoses off of nipples wrap a small piece of thin copper strapping are the hose so your jaws squeeze the copper not the rubber! Works like a charm for hoses.Also for anything you need to grab with vise grips etc. I got thin copper sheeting at a craft store or something ,wherever you can find it. Nice to see a young lady wrenching ! I tell my daughter there is nothing you can't do if you put the effort into it. She now knows more than most guys about cars !

Its been a year now How is it working ? Still giving accurate fuel levels? Thanks and nice video

Seems to be. After the first replacement failing, I do often just check mileage when the gas light comes on. But the FSU doesn't seem to be far off.

@@girlvsmotorcycle Great as long as it shows some accuracy its good... Mine goes crazy one minute shows full tank and suddenly low fuel light turns on... Going go dealership to pick the parts up today... Should be an easy job after seeing your so easily explained and detailed video :) Thanks heaps

New Castle Harley in PA is where I occasionally order parts from. Their website is easy to track parts on & order direct.

U did good work. Loved the video I’m currently doing the same thing step by step from your video. I have a question I can’t seem to find that part the new fuel level you replaced my bike is a 2013 v rod it’s been sitting for a few years in my garage when I turn the bike on it don’t make that whistling sound and it won’t start it cranks but don’t turn over. I’m not sure if what I’m fixing is the problem. But can u send me a link where I can buy that part? I hit the link u put in I added the Harley Davidson 75210-09 Fuel level Sensor 09 and later VRSC models but nothing comes up. Sorry for the long comment but again thanks for your video it’s helping me big time.

I just went to partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/ronnies/showmodel.asp?make=hdmc and put in for a 2013 VRSCF and the same part number comes up. I checked on the New Castle HD site I provided and the part comes up available for $67.21. The part number is 75210-09, like in the video, so I'm not sure if you entered the number incorrectly. 🤷♀️ I'm in no way a professional, but if when you turn the switch to "ignition" and then hit the "run" switch before trying to start it, you should hear that whistling noise. That noise is the fuel pump priming, as I understand it. If you're not hearing it, there may be an issue with the fuel pump itself. I do reccommend going to www.1130cc.com and checking the VRod forum. Search for "fuel pump" issues and see what comes up. It's a great resource for many VRod issues. Someone is bound to have had the same issues before. Good luck! Thanks for watching and commenting! I hope I helped at least a little. ☺️

I have a question my VROD Under the seat I have fuses. The Relay System fuse the square one. Well my bike won’t turn over. But I put two of the regular 15 amp fuses and the bikes starts. Could it be I have a short some where? Thanks
@girlvsmotorcycle3 жыл бұрын
@@Jbr_Films Sorry for the delayed response. Just returned to work and I had to do a little digging and tap into my electrical knowledge for this one. Again, not an expert or anything, but I checked the schematic for the starting circuit. A relay is essentially a switch. When you turn the bike ignition to "IGN" it sends a signal to the relay and engages it, making the electrical connection to the start switch on the controls. Replacing it with the 2 fuses is just making a complete electrical loop with no switch. Which means you may be able to start the bike in "IGN" or in "ACC". If the two fuses work, the relay may be bad. You asked this question last week, so you may have solved the issue already. But I do appreciate it as it made me read my schematics and put my electrical learning to work!!! 😁 Good luck!!

Ooooo…. I’m not that smart! Try hitting up the Vrod owners group on FB or 1130cc.com Vrod forum. There are A LOT of people who do more tinkering with their bikes than I do. I usually hit one of these places when I’m not sure what to do. Good luck!!
