Thanks James. WIth lighting , our choices are many. specially now with the light tech getting better and brighter. This one works well so far and I think it will replace some of my older setups. Now I can dial in the color I want instead of just 5600.

Very good review of the GVM-SD200D 200W LED Bi-Color light. It sure look good for photo and video, the adjustable brightness and light temperature control and wireless control with the smartphone is so convenient.

The Bowens mount is always good. For stills colour accuracy is usually the big problem with LED lighting. Where does it fit between Apurture (best) and Gidox (Worst) for colour? Looks to be good value as long as you dont need it to be battery powered...

yes and the light can handle almost any sized softbox without it panning down. tighted the knobs and you are good to go. this light really shines with softboxes for sure. doing video , interviews. for the money its an excellent choice. Aperture also makes quality products but they are up there in price. I have the 300 DII and its a great light, yes daylight 5600 only but strong but over 1K in price just for the light. Ill tell you right now, after using this light for this review, I will be replacing the godox SL lights and using this one from now on, I find the bi color option to give me more lively better skin tones when doing video and more than 3 times more light. and your right , no batteries.

Haven't tried that brand yet. I've used Godox, GVM , Weeylite and Aperture.

@@loihpatli funny you say that, I actually own an aperture 300 DII, amazing light with the Dome II and grid. I'm ashamed to say I just haven't used it much but I think I will start. That thing is powerful.
