GW-M5610U-1 Unboxing - I have gone mad

Added yet another one to the collection. I am so addicted to the whole G-Shock square thing now.
The newer GW-M5610U-1 has the updated 3495 module and I reckon this is a useful upgrade to the already classic model.
No apologies for the poor light and sound. This is a "Q & D" style video after all. :)

Ive yet to own this, but this would be my ultimate gshock. Square face, similar face design to the original Dw5000 + solar + multi band 6. Perfect one for all tool watch. The only upgrade to this is probably the one with bluetooth

You can use a radio clock app. The speaker 🔊 creates enough magnet field touching the top of the watch to speaker. Manually activate watch radio reception & approx set and synchronised to your smartphone ~10 minutes.

@@AndyinSG Ta, the Android app is "Radio watch sync" This one I have found doesn't require you to change the home world zone time to the simulated broadcast Atomic clock station. It compensates to where you are eg. SYD Sydney time zone.

If you want slightly different look, there is also the GW-M5610U-1CJF. I see it as the successor of the GW-M5610-BA-1JF. Love the hint of blue in the display.

The U models have a different backlight, but most importantly it shows local time on the world time, stopwatch, and count down screens, as the early models did. I bought the carbon fiber model and put an aftermarket titanium kit on it. Bluetooth doesn’t interest me. The carbon fiber model has a titanium back and is the lightest G shock ever.

​@@AndyinSGI ordered a non U 5610 from Amazon and my watch came in this same basic packaging. Turned out they sent me a U version which I am ok with, saved me 20 usd but the lettering on the back is somewhat worn out. I bought a new watch but maybe they sent me a used as new one?

There are a number of mobile applications that would simulate atomic clock signals, which make Multiband 6 function useful!

There are two types of straps that come with the 5610/5600 watches. Slight difference in width and also different looks. But this model in my video should have the narrower strap.

5000 is the expensive more premium one. 5600 is the more basic model. 5610 has a two-piece structure as the bezel and shroud are contrasting colours.

@@pelemlangka the 5610 initially denotes a G-shock square with a two-piece construction. So bezel and shroud are different colours. But for the GWM5610, I can’t explain why it is referenced as such. The case/shroud design is slighlt differnt though.

@@AndyinSG I saw your unboxing for GW B5600MG, that one comes with a gorgeous positive display. One of the reason I sold my GWB5600 is bcs of its negative display, I found it quite hard to read sometime. But the GW B5600MG is very hard to find in SG. I juz bought a GWM5610U from Lazada for SGD 142, very exciting for it.

@@lun810 That’s a really good price for the 5610U. Congrats man! I think there are two versions of the GWB5600 on positive displays. The green-ish looking MG i have, plus another yellow/gold model which comes on a bracelet. These things are poisonous!

@@AndyinSG Thanks man. Yup, this is really a good price for GWM5610U, so I grab this immediately . Not really a fan of gold tinted positive display and the gold outer ring. So the MG is still my choice. But most of the retailer they say GW B5600MG is sold out and might discontinue, don't know how true is it. G Shock Square are really poison!!! But is really enjoy to have it on wrist.
