GW raising prices, at a time like this?

I'm sure you heard this a lot, but from an old hobbyist that left games workshop back when we lost Warhammer fantasy battles, why don't you read some info on resin printers? You would be pleasantly amazed with how easy they are to use now and the quality they have, as for the rules opr is a great place to start but if it's not your cup of tea there are many game systems out there, just take your time and enjoy your hobby.

I have a 3d printer and i know how much you can save over the years printing models. Still i disagree with the statement, that 3d printing is the solution to the price increase, as much as i disagree with the prices GW is asking for. There is more to a company in the gaming industry, than just what they sell. We need them to get people interested in a hobby, if GW does not exist, there is nothing with enough reach to fill the void. If we start replacing all GW with 3d prints, this is what might happen. I'm much in the same boat as many of you are, my hobby spendings wont increase, when the prices go up, i will just buy less or maybe even nothing at all and this is how it has been, over the last 10-15 years. But still i dont see 3d printing is a solution, when it's the community we need (and that wont grow without the companies and all of them got more expensive, GW is just the one everyone is looking at).

​@@el-ceeI understand your point of view, my statement was also that I no longer support games workshop since they discontinued Warhammer fantasy battles a long time ago, and that there are other games you can try, like one page rules or kings of war, and I'm sure there are others. As far as I understand your point I disagree that if games workshop disappears so does the hobby, there are other options and wargaming has existed before gw, and so will after.

So, last month I made a video on how I have a 3D printer and it went horribly. My wife has horrible reactions to the fumes. Like, sitting next to an open window with a fan blowing the fumes out while she was on a different floor of the building still didn't help. I'd freaking love it if I could use a 3D printer. I'd love to see GW dethroned. Competition with a serious wargaming competitor would require them to get off of the butts and really work hard to make fans happy. Have a great day.

Wow....great planning. To be fair I'm more of a warhammer spectator who jumped ship back in 6th ed....but hobby money is limited and u gotta get the most bang for ur buck.

I agree. I'm actually really enjoy the painting and hobby element of it a lot. I spend a lot more time on the other hobby stuff than the actual playing. I'm seriously thinking that over the next year I'll spend my hobby money on stuff for building terrain. And of course I have a pile of shame. have a great day.

A. Yes, I have a 3D printer. Unfortuately until I move to a place with a garage or shed or soemthing I don't think I can 3D print. B. Reasonable is dependent on the person. I may disagree that paying $50 for a squad is reasonable and therfore decide not to buy. Someone else may say it is reasonable. So I think I should be more careful with my words "reasonable" when applied to something subjective like value is tough. However, looking at other miniature makers I think that some of their products (like generic like generic individual characters) may still be able to make them a profit at 25% of their current price. C: Warhammer, I don't have enough experience to say. Legion would be empire, but I haven't played GAR yet. I am spending more time painting and building my clones than any of the other armies and I want them nice and ready before I use them. Have a great day.

First thing I thought was this whole femstodes thing, but now I'm thinking you could have thought he was gonna talk about inflation, or the two wars going on... Were you thinking of this?

I'd be curious if you look at other youtubers talking about this if you extend the same critique to them? If Chapter Master Valrak, or Majorkill, or Weshammer, or someone else if they started by saying something that wasn't explicitly the thumbnail would you hold it against them, because people use openers, and otherwise talk about related issues. I wouldn't say that a price increase is a betrayal of the fanbase. I don't think it is wise or considerate, but betrayal is a bit harsher of a word which I would reserve for something like the gas lighting they did regarding the lady custodians. But that's just me. Have a great day.
