I have some abilties ideas and updates to old abilites ideas too Sugar juice: it would be a buff to citron attack and would take the middle spot,for base buffs he would double the damage and remove damage falloff,but he have some specific buffs depending on the type of attack,overheat will be removed for laser abilties,ammo would reload automatically in normal shooting citrons,and for 1 shot attacks it would fast the reload,you can't use it if you have your legendary meter active to not make so overpowered,the duration will be a short 6 seconds and the cooldown of 60 seconds Flower power: it would be a ability to the rose taking place of the time snare,it would a spell that will be casted in the plants who boost their damage in 20% for 8 seconds,but for characters in their legendary meters it will only boost 10%,it can hit multiple plants at once,the cooldown will be 45 seconds Cheesy spikeweed: it would be a replacement for the chester weed,it will take the cheesy goop thing and make chomper swallows zombies faster Explosive jump: it will be pratically equal to rocket jump,except that only have 1 use instead of 2,but too compensate it will deal 50 damage to the plants like that bfn upgrade,the area wouldn't be large but it can make you protect yourself Armored barrel: self explanatory name,the barrel has more health but moves slower,the armored will be good for defensive options while the normal will be for attack options Hot cheese station: replacing the cheese station,it wouldn't heal this time instead will damage the plants,before you say something let me explain,the sunflower has the dark flower and i will make it that it will be used for self defense and area control instead of attack,it would work almost similar,it would make a spray like the healing one except it will deal 5 damage to plants each 0.5 seconds,the thing is that it has a short distance,it is good for self defence against a chomper but bad for attack since they will recoil a bit,another thing is that when destroyed by a plant it will explode dealing 50 damage in a short area (it have to be destroyed,it will not explode if disappear automatically),good for self defence and are control but bad for attack since the plants are probably far away,+ the spray damage isn't that much Some abilities will not have alternates,with them being elemental abilities,mechs and exploding drones,the only exception will be space cadet with the space station What is your opnion about this?

Also forgot to say here but i have one more In gw2 arcane enigma deals damage to zombies but in bfn it makes the plants faster So i'm gonna make the bfn version in new abilty called "arcane sonic" wich fasts all the plants there and give rose a small boost too Also since you made that the arcane enigma would last less if she gets hit while in that form i would remove you taking out the ability for some damage and instead i will make it have a damage aura around her

@@MateusLanaro The citron one would need to be balanced very carefully, since I wouldn’t want to be sniped for 50 damage across the map by an Iron Citron, or instantly frozen from 10-damage shots from Frozen Citron. And not to mention the elephant in the room, Electro Citron was top-tier before they decided to give him damage falloff. Flower power might be fun to mess around with, but I like that Nec’Rose is the one who fulfills that role by making the zombies take extra damage as a mirror to Hovergoat simply boosting ally damage. Cheesy Spikeweed could work, but it would need to be balanced around being able to stack with both the Cheesy Goop, and up to two digestion upgrades. Disco Chomper could finally get his mode consistently with it! I swear I already said something about the Rocket Jump, but I do have this one written down! Armour barrel sounds nice and pure, I like it. I honestly don’t think that the cheesy heal station is needed, not because it’s counterproductive, but because it feels a little underpowered. Unless you walk up to someone and place it there, I doubt people will try and stand near it by choice, especially if you can destroy it.

@@TwilightChomperEnthusiast for the citron i think we can add the damage falloff for lasers and one shots except for normal attack citrons to make them more viable I made flower power to replace the bfn jinx remaining the same abilites of making the zombies received more damage in a different way that isn't too similar to necrose,i also think rose needs more suport power I think i was a little harsh to not making it so good in attack,i think i can make his damage area a little longer and maybe make it deal more damage?

For the Wizard (probably the next ability part will be the zombies), a good idea would be an ability almost identical to Rose's goatify, but which turns plants into sheep. based on the Wizard ability from Pvz 2. The skill would swap the Zelixir, if the player selects, equal to the scientist's healing station and his healing bean.

Maybe the cornstrike and the bulb barrage could both be available, but you can choose which one you want to equip in the menu. Perhaps to buff the cornstrike, holding the button down lets you see the area of effect it will leave with a holographic bubble, while letting go activates it

I like the change you made for the rose abilties One of my issues with her is that goatify should be her main ability,the ability that everyone will remember her having,but the time snare have an animation for using it and a much more noticable area,while the animation of rose launching the goatify is just a normall attack + the effects aren't too markable

I get what you mean about the Goatify being the one to have more "identity" with Rose herself, but I feel the more flamboyant Goat and sparkles will say more than a quick want waving animation. I'm not thinking of anything too elaborate for it, just something to justify the longer windup time.

Idea for rose: Have a debuff slot plus a buff slot. So you could have Time Snare OR Jinx OR Goatify, and then the last one could be like a totem that deploys buffs to allies to fit in with a more healing support role. The difference between this and the healing pot is the totem floats and is taller, so easier to hit. The buffs could be like healing, attack boost and resistance.

Ability: Sunny song III Description: Plants love listening to a sunflowers singing, they've even gotten so good that their healing powers get mixed into it to boost damage output! Disclaimer: No healing will be found here. This is an alternative version of sunny side up. Sunflower sings the PVZ1 "zombie on your lawn" song. This distributes an aura that improves fire rate and makes shot only consume half a piece of ammo for the same effect. She runs slightly, yet noticably faster, but cannot shoot or use other abilities during this.

I don’t think that Sunflowers really show off much support other than healing, so I don’t think that this is necessary. If it were an Arcane Enigma variation that cast a damage buff aura, then I think it would work.

I would honestly change Rainbow Heal Beam tbh. It feels like wasted potential since we have reskins of abilities that have SOME difference. (Bling Pylon having higher damage, Bling Gatling has a faster fire rate ,ect) There are many ideas we could go with, like temporary invincibility (rainbows in BFN signify invincibility), the Blossom upgrade (healing two plants at once), ect. I honestly love the idea of implementing invincibility. However, the healing rate could be noticeably slower as a tradeoff for not being able to be harmed. Think of it like a plant's equivalent to Armoured Heal Station. The Rainbow Heal Beam would last for around 10 seconds before going into a cooldown. Fair warning though, because the effect can also be cancelled if the sunflower is vanquished or the ally gets out of range of the beam.

I like the idea of bling abilities being reskins, because their purpose is to be a sink for your coins and show off that you have the money to spend for the sake of nothing but cosmetics. Assuming we are going to give them new purposes though, invincibility is NOT the way to go about it, at least in the way you're describing it. I might as well differentiate it from my Shadow Flower rework as to not make myself look like a hypocrite, but compare this: The legendary Shadow Flower only grants invulnerability when you have revived enough people consecutively, and the ally has to die first in order to get the buff. Then look at the idea of having a remote immunity button that can be activated on a moment's notice on whoever you want, for ten seconds. That is two thirds of a Toxic Overload, with FULL DAMAGE RESISTANCE. What immediately comes to mind is the idea of Max Rank pockets. One could theoretically make a ZPG-proof Pea Gatling, or a Chomper that can run guns-blazing and clear an objective while keeping his Sunflower alive. And then there's the possibility of two sunflowers hooking up with each other, and having free range on whatever they want for that time. The TTK for most classes is around 2 seconds, so a tag team of Alien Flowers peppering an objective point-blank sounds torturous. Sorry for the long analysis, but I don't think this is the way to go. Sorry!

I probably should have been more clear, but yeah, they will have unique barrages that are similar to how their Corn Strikes function. For example, the Artichoke would only shoot one bulb, but it would recharge fast. What I was really getting at for the replacement is talking about how projectiles >>> airstrikes most of the time.

Something I always felt lacking on every single stun ability of GW2 is fall off. Hitting someone directly with a goop for example should stun for longer than if it hit by splash. Does BfN do this? Do you think it could make some of the abilities less annoying this way?

In BFN, the EMPeach has an upgrade that makes the stun last longer if you’re hit directly by the projectile. A similar system could be adopted, but it would need to be balanced to prevent people from being stunned for no time at all lol

Sort of like how you can take one damage from a random splash ability and then you have to wait for your health regeneration to start up again. I’d rather have a smaller area of effect for the stuns instead of a larger one that has minimal effects outside of the main target.

I personally run two damages and a digestion. The two damages are the most important, as it brings your bite damage to be enough to vanquish 125HP classes in three attacks. The last one is interchangeable with health or speed, but I use a digestion as an insurance policy to recover quicker of the game decides to be mean and swallow a zombie from the side or front when you didn’t intend to.

A few really neat ideas: for burrow i had is if zombies are quick enough, they can aim downwards and fire their primary, giving them a chance to escape. Butter barrages and bigger better butter, and butter beacon should be alt abilities. Scientist should have heal beam and heal hose as alt abilities. Heal beam heals quicker, but can inly be used on one ally, while heal hose can heal multiple allys, but doesn't heal as much. Sb can swap his shield for his beam if he wants. Engineers bolt blaster and heavy helper can be alts, get rid of the armor of bolt blaster. Deadbeard can have his semi auto primary from gw2 as an upgrade, but make it so its designed for mid range, costumg 4 points. Lastly, i think that starting with four upgrade points, and gaining more ad you rabk characters up, maxing out at 10, would be fun. I love the bfn upgrades,but sometimes a few upgrades that would go well together are unusable together because of costs. So.i tbink this could kake for more fun, creative (broken) upgrade builds

The only one I have something to say about is the Burrow Change. Being able to shoot when burrowed sounds like it would be balanced, but the whole ability is designed around being useless on any form of elevated surface, plus over half of the roster has either a tech or escape mechanism built-in. It feels really satisfying to land a burrow cancel, so losing that would make the ability less special and worse than it already is.

@@TwilightChomperEnthusiast Idea: Burrow (& with it, eating as a whole) will deal an initiating 50 damage, plus 25 damage over time until the enemy is vanquished and ready to swallow. If vanquished while eating, the enemy will be spit out in their current condition. This is to discourage suicide chomping, while encouraging being smart with your burrow.

Balancing the characters themselves will DEFINITELY happen in the future. I'm probably not going to talk about all 121 variants in-detail (as well as skipping some of the lamer ones), but the more interesting cases will have some extra depth and work put in to them.

what if the goop abilities made chompers be able to digest zombies faster? This is entirely untested and would likely require A LOT of tuning, but it would make surviving after digesting an enemy a lot more reliable and skill based as a chomper.

Assuming that this replaces the actual stun effect, I don't think that would be the greatest idea. I'm saying this because it would create a large gap between the good and bad Chompers, with Twilight, Unicorn, and Yeti becoming the easy top three because of their ability to close gaps and pick fights at longer distances. If this comes in ADDITION to the stun, I'm not sure if it would be any better, because Goop is already one of the most OP abilities in the game, and doesn't need a buff. As an optional alternate ability though, things could work...

The Rainbow Beam, a alternative to the traditional Sun Beam that trades out a significant chunk of damage output for the ability to heal teammates when you shoot at them. The obvious downsides are less ammo, a harsher recharger time, and the fact that it requires good positioning and aim to use at distance. I do worry that this could run into the issue of immediately making the other beams into downgrades due to the nature of the abiltiy, but with some tuning and testing it could provide more skilled Sunflowers with more reliable healing across several teammates.

It has been a while since I have commented on one of these videos and I have another idea for GW3. Remember when you said the 3rd GW should be about the gnomes? Well, I have an idea for a mode for them. For example, take Mann Vs Machine from TF2 and put that into GW, so that means the plants and zombies are on the defense side, and the gnomes are the robots trying to capture the location. The plants and zombies will have 3 players on each side, and you can upgrade your character to have increased speed, more ammo, faster fire rate, etc. To upgrade more, you have to vanquish gnomes for more of those points to upgrade like in GW2, gnomes drop points in infinity time. For difficulty, we have 5 different levels which are amateur, intermediate, advanced, professional, and extreme. For each level you go, the better rewards you can get and speaking of rewards, you can unlock Vanquish streaks for your primaries and abilities. There is also another mode for this which is practice mode where you can play different levels to get better at them. For a name and maps, I can't think of anything, but you can brainstorm some ideas and you can think of some other stuff for these modes. So yeah, here is one of my other ideas for this mode.

I see where you're coming from about the Beans and movement powers for the Peashooter, but I respectfully disagree just a little bit. I honestly think the beans were flawless in GW2, and I like that Bean Jump is a tech that exists. The problem with Bean Jump being as powerful as it is comes entirely from Hyper giving an insane jum,p boost on its own. I think the power of Bean Jump can be completely alleviated while still being incredibly useful for those of us who have nearly mastered it by simply adjusting the speed and jump boosts of Hyper and Super Pea Jump to be mirrored in the way Rocket Jump/Leap are. As is, the speed boosts are +65% for Hyper and +10% for SPJ (yes, SPJ has a speed boost! It's just that relative boosts of less than 12% are almost unnoticeable in standard gameplay unless you're actively measuring it while it happens), while the jump boosts are (IIRC) ~5x and ~6x. How about instead, Hyper be adjusted to +70% Speed and ~x2 Jump - enough to clear some annoying obstacles that are just a *bit* too high to jump on normally - and make SPJ +20% Speed and ~7x Jump. The speed buff from SPJ would be just enough to feel it, and the jump height would actually matter now, especially due to not getting anywhere near as high from Hyper, and preserves Bean Jump without making it too strong. This also completely eliminates "Pogo Pea" since x2 Jump isn't enough to go completely over enemies' head in a way that makes you too small to hit, while SPJ lacks enough speed boost to close in for pogo in the first place, despite definitely being high enough to be exploitable. Combined with your aforementioned hitbox change, this would likely put Peashooter as a class in an excellent place - not nerfing it in any significant way while still removing the worst things it's capable of, and maintaining high skill movement tech as well as the identity of Hyper and making SPJ viable for tower topping strats

The issue with Bean Jumping is that it’s clearly unintended game design, as provided with how easily you can get out of bounds with it, or fly to an objective within 5 seconds of respawning. Sure, it’s a more difficult skill to build, but it doesn’t make it any less annoying for when people have to face it. Sure, one can argue that by learning the skill to do it, you’ve earned the right to use it, but I don’t feel that way. Take for example, if you do 500 push-ups, your character in the game gets a 300% damage boost. You can’t help but commend the person who committed all that time and effort into getting it, but at the end of the day, all that extra damage is pretty ridiculous. That’s not to be said that high-skill techniques _can’t_ be in place though, or else things just turn into Toxic Pea slop. I just draw the line at an overpowered movement tech that is by technicality a bug exploit. Lastly, I did read over your changes, and I’d like to say that your effort in your proposal will not be wasted.

I had a weird dream. I was a citron. I don't remember much, but I distinctly remember that everytime I hit a z-mech or space station with E.M.Peach, the stun was much longer than it should, basically ensuring they died within 3 seconds.

I would change Hyper so that it stops when you fire. That way you can still jump up to roofs and stuff but you can't pogo.

You could still technically pogo, it’s just that you can’t fire during it. It wouldn’t make trying to hit them any less annoying, but just drag out fights for no real reason. This is why I’m only having it grant a speed boost, making a worse version of the Goat’s speed buff ability.

Making hyper speed only is what I think everyone wants. But I think it should be like a 1.5x to speed and only 1.1 for jump and vice versa for super pea jump. Why? Super pea jump gives a very slight speed boost.

Might as well dump mine here too. - Disaster Hero: Fully charged shot fires off a tornado that pushes enemies back a bit - Volcano Hero: Fire Variant. Instead of charging 5 shots into 1, he starts with 1 larger shot and can charge to gain two/four smaller shots to follow the arrow, akin to old multi cob. - Slasher Hero: Fires off piercing saw blades in a row, up to 5. Makes a nice chainsaw noise to warn enemies of the oncoming charged shots. - Romcom Hero: Fires off toxic rose thorns out of a bouquet. Charging them instead increases their homing potential. - Western Hero: Charges up to 6 shots out of his crossbow revolver, dealing extra crit damage. - Sci-Fi Hero: The charge increases the size and duration of an electric beam laser, making it more deadly the longer your crosshair is on targets. - Knight Hero: Tank/Armored variant. Charge just increases the distance your crossbow can launch explosive lances before they get affected by gravity.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who finds the beam citrons awkward to play lol. My compromise that I was going to add to them is that they’d get properties from the SHRIMP Mech where the beam auto-focuses on the target if they’re at point blank.

Playing as sb vs playing as chomper feels so unfair. Chomper has a straight forward gimic basically (get close kill target) when SB plays up close and most of the time if you play against a decent player it feels like almost any plant can take out an sb up close. He's such a squishy character to play which means that he could be fun to play in the right match but also so boring

Couldn’t you just have the laser primary citrons have a different ability than the non laser citrons? If you were to do so, can it be like the two round burst ability citron had in the first trailer for GW2? It will be called the “tangerine squeezer” and will fire a 2 shot burst at 1 second intervals and each shot will deal 25 damage and it will continue for the next 8 seconds for a total of 200 damage and have the cooldown of navel laser

Hot take but i feel like abilities like imp punt make the game balanced let me explain since this game has no skill based matchmaking abilities like imp punt give new players a chance against max ranks

Yeah, but then that logic sorta goes out the window as soon as the max ranks start using it. Low skill abilities are fine, but they shouldn’t be too rewarding for the low bar of entry.

@@TwilightChomperEnthusiast Honestly, I agree with ItsJustatheory. Having some abilities that are more "low skill" help to bridge the gap between newer and more exprienced players. Also, I don't think preventing them from pushing players around is a good idea, as it can be used to sometimes cancel abilities (Eg. canceling a husk hop by knocking them with an imp punt).
