GW2 | PvP Power Reaper Build Guide (2020) + Gameplay

I still find it much more usefull having staff + axe/focus in pvp , as u don't need to actually rash it in meele and the greatsword is quite slow . Also using all the spectral skills : Armor( u are nothing without it in Reaper shroud) ,Ring (very usefull skill ,especially 5v5), Lich ( overpower distance burst) . Also its kind of nice beginning of the fight with spectral armor/ring/lich , so u gain full bar of life force , to finish em all . Also having 3 fear's its making game , plus the skill 4 of the focus ( as usually im quite weak against condi). Plus its kind of manupilating ppl to come in melee , when u gain a chance to use ur Reaper shroud to insta kill em . Just try it out . As mostly every game i have 400-600k dmg , which is just destroing the enemy team.

For what it's worth I've been running this in small group wvw or solo roam for some time now (Pretty much exact same trait choices). Very effective if you are able to build life force effectively. Keep on reapin hells yeah!

| think its a mistake not to run savage sigil on ur pref wep set. The extra stun duration from reaper 5 and chill to the bone can really help ur team secure kills and its really noticeable.

I haven't done PvP in a while, but when I *did*, I found a lot of success defending nodes with a Spectral/Shout, Soul Spite Reaper build. Tons of LF generation, and if you open with Grasping Darkness, they might dodge. If they do, quick follow up with Spectral Grasp. Drop Nightfall. Shroud into fear, Soul Spiral, and then they're basically dead once you get them to the halfway point due to Spite traits. So the sustain is in Life Force generation and shredding in shroud. Though I'm not sure how practical that build is now that the cooldowns are so much longer

Good question! Rangers, thieves and revs can be very difficult. I do well versus other necro's, warriors, engineers, guard, etc however :)

Haha, sure no worries! When you start the game, simply do some PvE, open world exploring. Do the quests and get familiar with the game. When you try PvP just go into unranked games and play a preset build. All classes are fine and have their uses, so just play what is fun!

Yea sure! Basically its 1200 range, 1 second cast time, boon removal skill which applies chill and does a fair amount of damage on critical hits. Use it from afar and before your bursts as you do an extra 10% damage against foes which are chilled. Its long range makes focus so good!

This build was before that meta, so I have not experienced them yet. Those build are always going to be annoying to be honest, but this build has decent condi clear.

Yeah I noticed :( It nerfs the rezzing power of this build but the well of blood trait is still good to have as it gives you and your downed ally protection and heals you!

It's sad now well of blood got nerf hard. From 4% to 1%... I mean even a 50% would have been enough. Sadly this impact not only well reaper and core bunker but support scourge too which was already dead in pvp. But ye reaper is where the fun is at :D Always has been since HoT release xD

Yes it is! That is the only change to the build to be honest. The damage is still exactly the same, you just rez a bit slower.
