Note for myself when I come back in subsequent years: at the lava rock jump to first stone, face sideways, bait the rock with sideways jumps and then jump across normally. It'll save lives over trying to time dodge-jumping it

You're absolutely right, dodge-jump should not and probably never will be required by ANet as it's basically a bug. I just made this jump and to clarify, it's possible to jump on the big rock (the one that knocks you down) before it jumps, thus making it easy to jump onto the leafs. I did it by skipping the first of the two small rocks (directly jumping from trunk to the second small rock) and then insta-jumped on the big boulder. After 3-4 tries I managed without the big rock jumping.

Contrary to what the video says, you do -NOT- have to dodge jump the part at 1:50. If you're fast you can jump between the rocks effortlessly. I found this to be much easier than trying to dodge jump it.

At 00:50 don't go left..go all the way to the right, than walk up the ramp. From there you can jump ontop of the cloud (possibly dodgejump required). You will be at the checkpoint skipping the whole lavaforest part.

At 4:25 there's another case of "jump-dodging". This is NOT necessary, instead you should jump immediately after jumping on the first rock to get as much distance as possible towards the leafs. The big rock WILL knock you down but he will do it in the direction of the leafs and you'll land safely. It's much easier if you jump from a bit of a distance from the lava as it allows you to hold your forward key and just instantly press jump once landed.

The shortcut worm actually works in tribulation mode, managed to get past it after 20 deaths and could just kill the last boss :D

At 4:24 where the second dodge jump part is I found a better way than even jumping back to trick the rock. I instead run around the left side from the save cloud and jump onto the leaf there and then immediately dodge into where the rock is. Then before it can reset you can jump onto the leaf dulfy does.

I think what you are suppose to do is jump on the small rock, then back to the safe spot, to spring the trap, then jump over both rocks on to the other side. That's the way I did it. It seems like the way they intended it to be done.

After the first checkpoint it is possible to jump over the cloud on the right, then another on the way to the traditional (normal mode) route. It'll probably be patched like the cloud corner in the first zone area.

you can jump back and forth on the stones in front of the rock to trigger it and then pass through without getting hit works with both big rocks :)

I just wanna say this guide is fundamentally flawed at 1:50 and caused me much rage. You can jump between the two small rocks then jump on the larger one to get across, or what she really needs to put in the video is that you briefly jump on the large rock and then dodge jump from there. Not from the second small rock, and dodge jump past it. That small minor detail had me trying to make an impossible fucking jump and rage for a good 20 lives.

no need to jump back and forth. just jump from the checkpoint directly onto the leafs. the knockdown will not affect you there

How do you pull off the long dodge? I have bound dodge and jump to the same mouse button, yet the length of the dodge is the same as a normal dodge.

Replying for anyone reading this now. It's easier to dodge jump over the rock instead of under it. So, dodge jump from the first rock onto the large rock, then dodge jump onto the leaf. OR regular jump onto the large rock and immediately dodge jump to the leaf. Jumping under the rock is very difficult!!!!
