(GW2) SWORD THIEF - OPENMAP

Honestly, is a very good build that is useful in many cases. Big advantages are the CC that it has and the blocking of attacks while pressing skill 3. Is not my type of gameplay to stand in one place and not move, I prefer "hit and run" gameplay for openworld. So it was something different and took me a bit time to adapt. Enjoy.

This was really fun to watch, I love thief but stopped using sword for Open world long ago for obvious reasons 😅😂 Great video! Unfortunately I think it wouldn't work with a lot of small mobs, but it's nice to see it could solo some of the HP's

It works perfectly for many mobs or small mobs, the problem are things that are moving much. Sword/pistol thief lacks mobility, and the skill 3 is rooted to the ground when is used.

So recently I have seen videos of condi fire weavers wearing full defensive condi gear like trailblazer dealing insane burst and sustained condi damage... killing avatar of balthazar in like 40 seconds. Does Thief have anything in this ballpark?

Do you ever play Pistol Dagger condi builds? How do those compare to d/d for soloing champs?

i dislike pistol/dagger gameplay is not fun at all. But in case you wish to set it, use sigil torment/earth and rune torment. Stats mix viper and sinister until torment goes 100%. But honestly, is so boring and no beneficial that you gonna quit playing it after some hour.

I am pretty sure no, but I literally crafted legendary sigils only for trying different combinations to find that result xD

Try mushroom queen in tangled depths i find it to be the hardest HP to solo for me with any class

I am one of those poor fools that plays sword Pistol in open world just because bolt was my first legendary back in year one and I never wanted to switch to staff or daggers. I don't personally think sword is as bad as some but I'm no expert. I've never tried deadeye sword either, I run crit/acro/Daredevil s/p with p/p on swap and it works well for me but I guess when you're used to something it feels stronger than it may be

i agree with you, i have same oppinion. Playing with 1 weapon set really much makes your insticts sharper for this gameplay.
