Mr. Vallun your two Videos on Deadeye and Daredevil in Open World have made me play a Thief. I never thought I would pick this Class up cause I was never into the whole Playstyle Fantasy of a Thief. But I am having a lot of Fun leveling it right now and I cant wait to play this Build once I hit Level 80 and unlock Daredevil. Your Videos are always clear, understandable for a GW2 Noob like me and easy to practice with and pick up a great Spec. Thank you for your amazing Work! I've just started using this build in EOD and it works great. I've had no problem soloing any challenge so far. I hadn't played thief in years because of my squishy playstyle, but now it is much easier to survive and still cut down foes.

That's definitely an interesting build for Daredevil. I'm so used to seeing variations on p/p Dash that running Cele never really clicked. Looks fun though

In the PVE build section, how do you heal so much, I replicated the build and gear exactly as you instructed but can't seem to obtain that level of self heal. Love the Video, I've been a warrior (PvE Berserker / PvP SpellBreaker), and need change so I took your video as a tutorial.

yes its viable anywhere, but if you want to perform your dps role more efficiently as i said youd want vipers. Exotic is always fine

i would use trailblazer with krait runes if you wanted to only do long winded boss solos, because it has more dps over time, otherwise cele has better burst damage for open world and still good sustain

I'm new and i have a question, did the talent trees change? because when i'm choosing the traits I can't exactly select 1 out of three, I have some sort of clock wher eI have to pick the talents in sequential order in order to unlock what I want.

thats just the progression system, the talents are in a different section of the hero panel, once you learn them in that clock thing you dont ned to go there ever again

I've been doing some raids with condi DD lately, and the meta build is very similar to this one! So it's top tier damage (with venoms taken ofc) and I'm surprised that it has so much self sustain compared to other PvE glass cannon builds! Will definitely try this in more game mods :) I'm also curious if there's a way to make this trickery / deadly arts version work in WvW. Maybe swapping one dagger for a pistol or sword would work?

What is your opinion on running Rune of Fireworks with this build in WvW? The added movement speed and Vigor seem enticing and you still get a fair amount of might uptime from the boon duration and strength sigil.

Due to that: - I don't know how the DPS of this build compares to my current one - I don't know what the DPS ceiling is aka I have no idea what kinda dps I'm aiming for while practicing

have you considered that the DPS is irrelevant? maybe you're frustrated because you're playing to someone elsse's agenda not yours

@@Vallun You misunderstood something here. I want to know how much DPS a player who's familiar with the build can pull so I know how long I need to practice. If I get close to the numbers you can pull it's safe to say I got the rotation down. It's pretty much the best way to tell if you're bad at pulling off a rotation with a given build. PS: I obvs won't compare the dps to snowcrows builds, but to my existing open world build - wanna attempt to solo some stuff with thief.

@@YourScreamsAreInVain the best way to tell if you're performing well at the build is if you solo the thing you want to solo. If you fail to solo it, its most likely not because of the DPS.

Ok, this video is awesome and thank you for the guide, but there's something that bugs me a lot and that is that i can get the same ticks of poison and bleeding than you do (More or less) on the video, however, my bleeding procs deals significantly less damage than yours. Im equiped right now with full sinister set and my dps is around 6.5k while yours is around 9.8k Where bleeding procs nerfed on thief or it's me whos doing something wrong? dodging gives might due to aristorcracy runes, which increases your condition damage, idk otherwise

It is the Ebonhawke Crossbow Pistol Skin and you used to only be able to get it as a rare drop from the Black Lion Chests. It is no longer available from the chest though. I'm guessing you'll be able to buy it for 60 Black Lion Statuettes in the future. @@HG-lt3id theres multiple builds here, the pve one you do dagger 5 to stealth thats it, the pvp one with pistols uses the bounding dodger trait which makes a combo finisher leap on dodge, and you can combo this with the pistol 5

I mean, I main Thief, or use to main it. Can you REALLY beat Assassins/Zerker combo with invigorating precision and malice for max dps and sustain? This is mainly for pve btw. You can solo pretty much anything by 1 and 2 spamming unless your trying to solo dungeons which does take practice no matter what build you make. Sure I can try this build for other modes, but the build I just said will always be my pve/open world build. But please, these "one build to rule all" will not hold up in WvW/PVP if you run into competent players when they are optimized for whatever they are doing. I guess what I'm trying to say is, Full Celest gear works on any class. But now your just a jack of all trades. Instead of say something like, a bunker necro or something. And solo'ing mama isn't that impressive. full zerk/assassins with staff p/p on swap can kill mama if your patient enough. In all honesty it can probably kill Mama faster. Just please dont take this in cm fractals. or cm raids. I prefer dps to do max dps.
