I never understood commanders instructing defensive skills or healing. Supports should respond to enemy burst and movement calls naturally. Every time I run a group I tell my supports to use their instincts and that all I will be doing is directing movements and coordinating bursts. When I say "moving in 3", everyone should know when to time their buffs. Commanding is simple. There's no reason to sound like an auctioneer and micromanage the entire squad. This is just my opinion though. To each their own.

I agree with you, but there are just different kinds of commanders out there. And it is kind of good for people who are new to WvW.

@@kaboomzzy I'd say it's very rare that a new player would play support in wvw. Any new player is likely dps because that's kinda the default in playing the game normally. I totally agree though. No commander has the same practices. It's good to have flavor.
