UPDATE: Apparently, the "side step" glitch blink is a "trick" you achieve with a fast combo of using a Well ( 600 range ) followed by clicking Sword 2 infiltrator's strike 900 range rapidly... meaning you can use Wells at a 1500 range instead of 600 as it should be. Did Anet oversee this? Or.. do they allow it? I don't know. I think it's kinda bullshit that they have so much advantages already with their Stealth, Shadowsteps, strong kiting, untouchable maneuvers, 1 shot kill combo, Steals 2 boons with Siphon, Steals 2 boons with Larcenous Strikes...10 stacks of vulnerabilty with stealth attack...etc etc etc... maybe Anet should give them flying cow wings as well as a matter of fact. Ps: That last DD thief at the end literally used a hacking tool. No doubt about that though.

With specs like willbender, habringuer, mirage, soulbeast or the celestial stat without going any further, the power specter should be the least of your problems.

Yeah it’s just an “exploit” at best I guess would be how to describe it. If you double tap sword 2 during well cast, you can move the well hit point with you. (You shouldn’t be able to as they’re both separate non-insta cast skills, but does anet care about thief exploits? Thief can still get into every tower, every keep, and every garrison in wvw lmao) However it isn’t cheating, and until anet decides to fix it, it’s just part of the game. Can be frustrating tho lol

The "side blink" on specter is from using a well the timing your sword 2 at the right time to shadowstep to your opponent which brings the well with you. Many specter players can do this easily. But this is only on specter and not on the other thief classes since they dont have wells. There are videos you can watch of players using this. iFave is a specter player that uses it if you want to see it.

Side blink is a 3rd party tool. Many side blinks are followed by sword 2 without wells.

@@DjDragon5000 I'm not saying they are not using a 3rd party tool. I'm just saying that you can use wells+sword 2 for that type of blink. and it is possible to use shadowfall and sword 2 combo. I just logged on and tried and its possible.

​@@shocktify5439 if that's case, That's a broken gameplay since Wells are supposed to be 600 range...+ Sword 2 trick combo... that's broken. From my perspective. Wells should not be allowed to follow sword 2. That's an unfair advantage. That's a 1500 range Well spell.. not 600 anymore.

​​​@@DjDragon5000 wells more than 30 sec cd + initiative to use it with s2. I play that a lot. To counter it u have to pressure the thief to make him use them all. Usually it is 2-30 sec wells and 1 on 60 sec. Hiding behind walls and running is a bad idea. Plus u can predict sidestep and stun or daze precast or as a engi shieldblock and stun. Out of that sidestep window thief has no sustain dmg, because u using specter build it worst In dmg terms. This spec has only burst and run.

This blink is more of a glitch trick with sword 2 which enhance WELLS range from 600 range to 1500 range. The question is, does Anet knows about it? If yes, why do they allow it? If no, then it may get nerfed. Not sure.

it's a trick every class can do with teleport skills. like mesmer doing stun well with tp to intant use

It's sneaky trick, a "side glitch" effect just like that SB before with barrage 5. It's a trick people don't know about until someone report it. Or maybe Anet doesn't mind a 1500 range Well spell = can't do shit about it.

@@DjDragon5000 yeah sorry that's what I meant, so it is the standard well/sword combo then. I had no idea in close range you could cast the well sideways then sword 2 back to target. Might have to practice that. after playing thief I think the whole spec is broke asf, so I imagine they will never nerf it

@MajorHuck Yea, but it's not that simple. Ill see if I can do it as well and record it. However, I believe the principal of 600 range should be 600 range. Not 1500 range. But that's a subjective point of view of course.

@@DjDragon5000 oh hands you're right and down it shouldn't stack, but it does and from memory I think the sword 2 return is the full 1500 not 900. might be wrong tho
