Pure Gold was composed of people who didn't have a lot of experience developing and operating a high grade underground gold mine. Furthermore they were focused on hyping the mine for sale rather than sound long term operation. In contrast West Red Lake Gold Mines is run by people who know how to build and operate a gold mine. They are restarting the operation methodically with an eye to developing a solid foundation upon which to build a mid tier gold mining company. I for one believe they are likely to succeed, remarkably profitably given their focus on efficiency and the extraordinarily low acquisition cost. If they do in fact prove successful the shares are currently selling at giveaway prices.

All I'm waiting for is gold to start outperforming the SPX, signalling a true precious metals BULL ERA to get into the miners. I'm looking for developers like this. Also, this CEO has a great deal of charisma. I'll have to check out their management team and see their track record.
