Miles fell for Gwen from the first meeting in the beginning. We can see that Miles has a lot of friends in the neighborhood, including the girl who says she misses Miles, but not as much as Gwen when he meets Gwen for the first time. Miles drew pictures of his uncle and the partners he met, but especially Gwen when she appeared everywhere Miles painted. Even when entering the second season, Gwen said that the relationship between the two will not have a happy ending, Miles is even optimistic about it. As Miles' mother said she found her son happier when being with Gwen even after having a big argument with her parents earlier. But as soon as Miles cut Gwen's ties, we all knew that his greatest faith has completely collapsed; he accepted to trade his biggest passion and now he got NOTHING in return. Faith and feelings for the first and only girl Miles trusted most, broken by her, was enough to bring a man clinging to a single hope to climb to the top of his life, back to the dark abyss before. And also when Miles cut the ties that Gwen realized her feelings for him, but it was also when things became too late. She knew she fked up her second true friend, and also the only one she got at that moment too . I read a saying in a Manhwa series that "love in life has its own limits😞". I hope the director doesn't know that saying and helps Gwen fix it❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

@@HellaIce I'm not the guy you asked but I'll tell you anyways if you really wanna know. Keep in mind it's one of the best plotpoints of the movie so I wouldn't recommend reading this, but it's your choice. So, basically, Miguel Ohara (The blue and red spider-man from the trailer) and the rest of the spider society are trying to prevent "anomalies" who are individuals who are in the wrong universe like "the Spot" (Black and white hole guy from the trailer) from stopping "cannon events" from happening throughout the multiverse, since Miguel believes that can potentially destroy the multiverse. Cannon events are fixed points in time that are supposed to happen for some reason. Uncle Ben dying is one of those cannon events. Anyways, Miles finds out that his dad dying is one of those cannon events. Obviously Miles wants to stop that from happening but Miguel doesn't let him and tries to lock him up. Why this has to do with Gwen betraying him is because she helps Miguel in trying to catch Miles again after he escapes, instead of being on his side (That part in this video where Miles rips her web from him is from that chase scene). There is another reason, but I think that's better left for you when you watch the movie yourself since it's probably the best part of the movie. If you really wanna know, I'll tell you, but I don't recommend it. Just tell me if you wanna know tho :)

I love Gwen in this movie, she isn’t some bland love interest who never makes mistakes and is there to simply, exist. She’s her own character completely, with her own arc and her own struggles. I love how Gwen’s decision to help Miguel, thinking it’d benefit everyone, hurt Miles in the long run. Like how her stopping the Lizard, inadvertently led to the death of her Peter Parker. And the discussion she has with her dad at the end of the movie says it all, no matter what she does, no matter if she truly thinks that she’s doing the right thing. There will always be people that she simply can’t be there for. There will always be people she can’t just save. And that’s not even mentioning her arc of trying to impress her parental figure, Spider-Woman (And maybe to a extent Miguel), until eventually deciding that it isn’t simply her path. Starting her own group to help Miles. GOD Gwen needs a solo film.

I think she really did want to impress Miguel for a few reasons. One, he was ultimately the person who gave her a way out of her situation with her father, gave her a purpose and gave her a place to belong. She told Miles he was a "Good guy" and feels comfortable joking that his anger at what happened in Pavitr's dimension was just him sounding hangry, so she seemed to be on fairly good terms with him. The second reason is darker, and is shown from her conversation with Jess when she's in Miles's universe. Gwen begs Jess not to let Miguel know she saw Miles because he might send her home. We can't know if it's just Gwen knowing in theory that Miguel could send her home or if Miguel has actually said anything about doing so if she displeases him, but she's partially loyal out of fear of being put right back in the situation of her own father wanting to arrest her.

I watched this movie 2 times and I still don’t understand why miles was mad at Gwen during this specific scene. This is before the train scene when Miles was pinned down by Miguel and that’s before he realized that Peter B and Gwen knew his father was going to die and they didn’t tell him about it. Miles growth as a person really shines here as his priorities quickly changed. At first he changed his major in hopes of trying to reunite with his friends above his family. However we see him prioritizing his family over everything and everyone else as Spider-Man truly does and his disconnect with Gwen only made him stronger to handle the burden of pushing alone. But through his actions it made Gwen see her mistake and when her father declines the Captain position she realizes that Miles was justified in his actions and canon events can be changed thus you can have your cake and eat it too, indeed there's a first time for everything!

Она подросток которому поросто нужно было разобраться в себе. С этим ей должны были помочь родители и друзья. Но из-за того что её укусил паук у неё остаётся лишь один друг. На её плечи ложится огромная ноша с которой она пытается справится. Она может высказать всё Питору (даже не затрагивая тему супергеройства), выплеснуть эмоции которые накопились. Но Питор умирает. У неё остаётся только отец, который ведёт охоту на женщину паука. Поэтому она толком не может с ним поговорить и высказаться, ей приходится всё держать в себе. Когда она снимает маску перед отцом и пытается всё ему объяснить, в добавок упоминая что у неё больше НИКОГО нет. Он просто берёт и отворачивается от Гвен, не принимая её такой какая она есть. У неё начинается внутренняя паника. Потеряла единственного друга, отвернулся отец ик тому же огромная ноша на плечах. Гвен просто теряется в себе не понимает кто она такая и чего хочет достичь. У неё сносит землю под ногами и она падает в пустоту в которой ищет за что зацепиться. Где-то в подсознании зная что там есть одинокий остров который её ждёт, но до него никак не добраться. К счастью для Гвен, Мигель берёт её с собой и у неё появляется шанс спастись и, разобраться в себе. Именно Майлз этот остров, поэтому она так к нему привязана. Вскоре эта привязанность переросла в чувства, а они уже в любовь❤. Из-за этого ей больно когда Майлз обрывает паутину, ведь она знает как это может закончится и просто боится его потерять. Майлз же обрывая паутину чуть покачивает головой тем самым показывая Гвен, что он уже всё решил и останавливаться не собирается. И наверняка он знает то, что она боится причинить ему боль. Так как Гвен его похвалила за проделанную работу даже тогда, когда он сорвал ключевое событие. Понимая это он показывает ещё то, что она сделает ему только больнее если продолжит преследовать его и будет уговаривать остановиться. Ведь у него до сих пор остались к ней чувства, даже не смотря на то что в какой-то степени она предала его. Именно чувство любви и привязанности друг к другу причиняет им боль💔. Поэтому сильно боюсь что это их и погубит, умрёт один второй просто не выживет без него. Если прочитали и такого же мнения дайте знак 👍🏻

Gwen knew Miles far longer than Hobie and Pavitr, but Hobie is the one who helped Miles escape Miguel's trap (The "use the palm, not just your fingers"). And in Mumbattan, Pavitr tried so desperately to save both Gayathri and Inspector Singh, but couldn't do both. When Miles saved Inspector Singh, Pavitr was deeply moved and thanked him with ALL his heart. Even Hobie was proud of Miles for what he did. Respect+ Hobie is the homie we all need. The REAL G. From my pov it very much makes sense for gwen to take on this role and i think it adds a bit more to the story. Gwen is facing a lot of reclusion and she has finally found a group where she feels she belongs to and despite her seemingly affectionate feelings towards miles you can see why she would have taken this stance. Membership in this group is also what let her see miles in the first place albeit not in a good way but as you can see near the end the dimension watch thingy can be disabled remotely and she would lose ALL CHANCES of seeing miles again without the watch; besides making a watch ofc but that wuld take a long time. I personally think the decision to have gwen slightly antagonize miles’ interest is very in character and aligned very well with the story we were presented w in the start of the movie.

First of all, great edit! Second of all, to all of the people thinking Hobie had a relationship with Gwen from the movie, no he didn't, he had one with his universe Gwen, which is a rock legend. Gwen from the movie never had a relationship with him. It's implied just for you to be in Miles shoes and overthink, but you got to pay attention to the details too, Gwen already stablished she is afraid to opening herself to be with a Spider-Man, just like in Miles case, she wanted to see Miles again, Hobbie and the others point out she basically never shuts up about Miles which mirrors the bunch of drawings in miles case, Hobbie immediately testes Miles character when he meets him, he is not in a romantic relationship with her but more of a fraternal one as her older brother, the biggest hint, when he saves her, he says "gotta take care of my DRUMMER", not my girl, they are in a band, that's why she crashes in his place. Maybe pay a bit more attention next time you watch the movie. And now, that this is Gwen&Miles love story, Gwen won't go and "cheat" on Miles with anyone, including Hobie... aslo please people again, stop thinking like that about Gwen and Miles, she is 16 and he is 15! Get your facts straight, maybe watch the movie again if you don't have an eye for detail or good enough memory. The movie is amazing anyway, so it won't be a waste.

But in the end, Hobie end up as one of the coolest characters, which was constantly helping Miles. Now we just need Gwen to make it up to Miles and after that explain that there was nothing between her and Hobie because as I said, Hobie was next to her purely because he is incredibly good guy and wanted to help her during those hard times which she was going through.
