Peter B Parker is the greatest spider-man simply because he manage to turn his life around. Miguel said being a Spider-Man is a sacrifice. But Peter B Parker is living it good despite him (presumably) change his entire canon event. Weren't it not for Miles, Peter B Parker would probably have a sad ending. That scene also shows how battle-tested Peter B is, he pulled that of without much effort. Then he used it as a teaching moment which set up the character development to insinuate that he would be a good father. He is not afraid of mentoring Miles, I believe, this gives him more confidence. This confidence in being able to mentor Miles is probably what made him rethink about having a kid. It's good writing.
