I love how the lore goes that Isolde's homeland has some elements of Spanish culture with Victorian aristocracy, so she designed her doll to be what she imagined a pretty princess in a far-off castle would be like. So while Gwen doesn't necessarily "fit" anywhere precisely in terms of character design, she still fits Runeterra because she is a peasant girl's concept of an aristocrat.

This is just a theory of mine based on the previous stories riot has explored and the tragedy seemingly woven into every thread of this plot line. Their relationship in the present is very much one-sided as the shard of Isolde's soul that was with Senna definetly did not seem too ecstatic to be stolen away by Viego.

How I imagine her story is told by the music: 0:00 Isolde is making Gwen 0:16 Gwen is completed and Isolde is playing with her as a princes (0:29 and 0:52) but also as a fighter (0:16 and 0:45) 1:16 Isolde meets Viego. Gwen is alone very often. She doesn't really know what's happening. Time is flying by. Isolde dies. The ruination begins. 1:49 Gwen get's lost and sinks to the ground of the ocean. 2:06 Isolde's soul is searching for Gwen 2:22 she almost gives up 2:38 but then she spots gwen and brings her alive 2:49 Gwen is alive! 3:07 Gwen finds the sissors, needels and thread from her maker and fights the black mist (on the shadow isles). 3:21 Gwen is making her way to valoran/shurima idk

*Some things I've noticed about this champion theme:* Most obvious being, the main instrument is a Violin, an allusion to how her kit revolves around being a seamstress. Throughout this track, the notes are harmonious, yet chaotic, giving off the vibe that this is the personification of the mist in it's purest form. Most noticeably around 2:06 onwards, the theme slows down and we see Gwen as a doll. As we see her story unfold once more, it picks up faster and faster and full of life, just like she did when she was brought to life by a fragment of Isolde's soul.

Yea, btw, this and Viego's theme have a similar structure, where, it's kinda harmonious at first, then slows down, building up tension (Prob. Isolde's death), then the story gets to its climax and all the instruments starts playing again a little twisted from its original melody (presumably the ruination).

It's most probably called insecure attachment in English and I think that's what riot is going for here. It has to do with attachment theory. I wish they made her passive as when gwen dies, she turns back into the doll that cant do anything but move around until a set amount of time ends before she's able to turn back, kinda like anivia's egg mechanic into lulu's morph. Would be fun chasing a doll around.

I just came out of somebody playing Gwen's theme backwards and you can DEFINITELY hear Viego's theme hidden in there. That needs to be mentioned as a genius level skill in musical craft. Well done to the entire team for that! If you haven't listened to this backwards, do so!
