You should definitely check out Rina Sawayama’s album. The guitars on that rip harder than the guitars on a lot of rock albums nowadays. You’ll love it. Dynasty has a sick solo. And stuff like Who’s Gonna Save You Now, STFU, and XS just fucking rock. I have no idea how she isn’t the biggest pop star in the world right now. Also you might like Poppy. She started off as sort of a bubblegum pop pastiche and then pivoted into being like sort of an American answer to Babymetal. Though at this stage I think Poppy’s stuff has become more embraced by the metal community than the pop one.

The song was ahead of its time. Hollaback Girl saved the album (and made the album and her solo launch huge), but this song was what best represented who Gwen wanted to be as a solo artist back then. Pop, eclectic, fun, adventurous, but always with a wink and a conscientiousness on knowing how ridiculous she was being. Loved her then, love her now.

This is one of my favorite videos ever. This was way too much for 2004. The idea was brilliant, so surreal, so couture (who else wears John Galliano for Dior Haute Couture, Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood, in the same video!) No one does such a stylish art work these days, but its good to see an OC girl who didn't care and went crazy in the best way. Bravo

Now it's only me [Hook] Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock Tick tock, tick tock (La la la la la la la...) Naturally I'm worried if I do it alone Who really cares 'cause it's your life You never know, it could be great Take a chance 'cause you might grow Oh, oh-oh [Chorus] What you waiting, what you waiting What you waiting, what you waiting What you waiting for? What you waiting, what you waiting What you waiting, what you waiting What you waiting for? [Post-Chorus] Tick-tock, tick-tock Tick-tock, tick-tock Take a chance you stupid hoe [Verse 2] Like an echo pedal, you're repeating yourself You know it all by heart, why are you standing in one place? (Uh-huh) Born to blossom, bloom to perish Your moment will run out 'cause of your sex chromosome I know it's so messed up how our society all thinks (For sure) Life is short, you're capable (Uh-huh) Oh, oh-oh [Pre-Chorus] Look at your watch now You're still a super hot female You got your million dollar contract And they're all waiting for your hot track! [Chorus] What you waiting, what you waiting What you waiting, what you waiting What you waiting for? What you waiting, what you waiting What you waiting, what you waiting What you waiting for? [Bridge] I can't wait to go back and do Japan Get me lots of brand new fans Osaka, Tokyo You Harajuku girls Damn, you've got some wicked style... go! @hellokittychaos 3 жыл бұрын
@@CarbonBeast Sometimes it takes getting older to realize how much you never knew about yourself. And I don't mean turning 90. I mean, in your 30s, for some people it is their 40s, you begin to see how much you COULD have done when you were younger. But you didn't. And sometimes you then feel like it might be too late. Because there is always a catch to what you want to do and where you want to be... and that catch is TIME. There is always a process to accomplish something, to become the person you thought you could be - or the person you never even thought of, but now you KNOW and now you feel discouraged because you have finally figured it out, but you just NEED MORE TIME. Well, this song... it helps to put our minds in the perspective of "it is NOT too late." That's it. Honestly, it is just that simple. And by that, I mean it is just that fucking complicated. Because when you get older, when you pass that 20s threshold of "I have infinity and beyond"... you complicate and you doubt yourself and you lose perspective. And then you lose hope. But this message - it is a reminder and a proper kick in the ass that we just gotta get the fuck out of that failure mindset! And do what we need to do , what we CAN STILL FUCKING DO, to make something of ourselves. RIGHT NOW. Not later. Not tomorrow. And goddammit, not fucking yesterday or fifteen years ago. Do. It. Now. Because we are all still super hot females and males and people (hot means driven! it means full of life and love!) and we have so much life within us to be human, and be great, and be ourselves... and we all matter. And we can all make a difference to whatever it is we need and want to. We just need to believe in ourselves. Fuck any haters and their criticism. You be you. You are human, you are amazing, and you fucking matter. So whatcha waiting for? Get off your ass and be the person you know you fucking are. We all support you. We are all in the same boat one day or another. xo Love and Respect to every person. 💖✌

+Burkina Faso Well Gwen do a lot of rock stuff with No Doubt :) I never liked pop, my sisters did and they listened to it back in the days when i had no music taste. Some time ago i discovered how great was No Doubt and eventually i'm here with nostalgia to this song.

In 2004, as a 13 year old, I listened to this song 20 times a day. In 2021, as a 30 year old, that habit begins again today. 🖤

My mum used to play this when I was younger when it first came out, in the last half year to year I added it to my playlist I mostly skipped it due to the intro and usually listening in my car and wanting to make the most out of my journey by listening to song that I love, recently I gave it a chance and I’m addicted to it, the emotions it conveys are very powerful
