Gwent | I UNDERESTIMATED THE NEW SYMBIOSIS SCOIA'TAEL

When the new Scoia'tael cards were revealed for the Chronicles expansion I definitely underestimated them. After numerous hours of playtesting so you don't have to, here is what I believe is the strongest variant of the Symbiosis archetype in 10.10. In this video I talk about card selection, reasoning and strategy before playing 7 games for reference.

One point regarding the Naiad's and Nature tag. If you have a Naiad in graveyard when you play Aucwenn, it will get the nature tag and you can resurrect it with forest protector.

A further point, because I over estimated this: Naiad cards tagged as Nature loses that tag when sent to the graveyard, so you can't ressurect in that way. Only if, as pointed out above, if they were in the Graveyard when Aucwenn was deployed will this work.

I love new frog nature spell in my symbiosis list, its 12 points play on its own plus nature proc and with a lots of ways to gain vitality in this deck, frogs help gain full value of it.

Nice deck Qcento! I run a similar one just without Gord, Isengrim's Council and Simlas due to clogging reasons. I instead have Shaping Nature, Gezras, Sorceresses an Elven Seer and Ciaran. Control options are great to have. And the Sorceresses usually survive the majority of the time and if not at least for example the Naiad Fledglings can survive as opponents used their removal tools on the Sorceresses or Seers already or the other way around. I want to offer my opponent some targets, so other engines can stick. This mostly doesn't work well with Bountiful Harvest if you ask me as most of these cards aren't worth it for the opponent to use a removal tool on, plus most of the options you get don't synergize well with the deck anyway. My finisher card usually is Shaping Nature in a combo play with a Fledgling by using the +5 boost and +5 Vitality option. Thx to echo you can pull this off twice if you're lucky. I never liked this card but with the new additions it is pretty great I must say.

Yeah Devo definitely works best here I think. I tried making Symbiosis work with Prism Pendant but it's just not good enough.

The card itself has doomed but you could put the special back in your deck with something like Alissa or Assire for example.

If there's more incentive to play devotion for other factions then there would be less Igni and Yrden floating around which would help quite a bit. Unfortunately decks like NG Renfri Imprisonment put up too many unconditional points and have too many tall punish options to let something like this into the meta right now.

tournaments have nothing to do with normal ladder they bring 4 decks tha cover eachother and target specific things just because u dont see a deck in a tournament doesent make it bad

Tourny is a completely different affair from standard; there's no reason to ignore a deck in standard play just cos the pro's don't use it.
