Really enjoyed this video. I grew up on Rugby League and never had any interest in AFL. I went to a Swans game once, but really the Swans were seen as an Eastern Suburbs team and a bit boujee. I lived around the corner from Tony Lockett and even used to work for Dennis Carroll who was forever throwing free tickets at me but I just wasn't interested. I even married a Swans supporter. Then back in 2012 I tuned in to watch GWS play purely because I was curious about how Izzy Folau would go. What I saw was a young team that were getting smashed every week but having a go - and I really appreciated that and tuned in the next week and then became a member. There was just something about them that appealed and I've been following them ever since. I've travelled to watch them and have thoroughly been made to feel as though I'm a part of the journey. I'm a great example of the generational plan, because I was a new supporter who now has young kids who are growing up as GWS supporters (much to the disappointment of their Swans supporting mother). I still love the NRL (and my Dragons), but I'm a Giants fan through and through. Long term GWS will work, but it still needs time. One of the best things the Giants have done as well is not bagging Rugby League like the Swans tend to do - if they did that they would have lost out in the us and them battle with a lot of new supporters.

Another great video. Im not a GWS fan, but it would be great to see them win the flag this season. They play an exciting brand of football.

They were doomed from the start with the branding wtf is GWS. I sadly never see them being relevant in Sydney

Greater Western Sydney is such a silly name. Western Sydney would have been, or would be, fine.
