@iria20 It was an actual subplot in the original series. It made some sense; after all, salt is a very valuable resource in real life, and in its commercial iodized form, it combats the disgusting disease that is goiter. They exaggerate it here, but it really isn't that much of a stretch to attack an enemy base just to steal their salt.

I think the problem was that since Operation Odessa was based around attacking Zeon's mines and other large bases on Earth, the problem was that this attack tightened Zeon's security. Seeing as how easily Amuro took out one base on his own, this would have been the best if the other Federation units had this much ease, but it made it considerably more difficult when they were entrenched.

@BlairGB1 Are you commenting on the Zeon forces as a whole? Or the Zabi family because they are dysfunctional in ways that are brilliantly hilarious. Heck even in the original series they are effed up. MSG Abridged just takes that and makes it funny. Seriously the whole Kycillia thing was brilliant on their part. It's sort of like the bitch in sheep's clothing trope. It just works for her in my opinion. Still it also would have been funny to have her calmly dealing with the situation.

@sparton1337 Well, I suspect it might have something to do with the design of the Gundam's joints. See, the Gundam was unique among the other front-line mobile suits at the time in that it's joints used a new material called "magnet coating", which acted as a sort of lubricant for the Gundam's joints so it could articulate more smoothly, therefore providing greater mobility. Basically, Frau's lifting the Gundam's finger was like opening a 1-ton steel door with well-greased hinges.

And i still ask myself whats the problem of amuro destroying this base. This is war. If they dont eliminate their bases tehy wont win. And hey Amuro did this all by himself, with the gundam and not everything was done witht he cannons so there wasnt much ammo wasted. And of course Zeon would come after the white base anyway because they are being credited for destroying Garma Zabi. So i dont understand Brights problem, alot of his plans suck anyways.
