Props to Cindy. She’s a wealth of knowledge. Mine just started leaking also and your video is going to be watched a few more times till I get it done.

Thanks for the video, im changing mine out tomorrow morning. Do you remember if there was any transmission fluid in the radiator?
@UncleJerrys Жыл бұрын
Yea hope it cuts down on some uncertainty! I'm not sure how much ATF was in the radiator.. I was worried that if there was a lot, I'd be low on ATF. After reading some forums, I don't think there is enough ATF in the radiator to justify adding fluid back. Just a hunch. Didn't see too much, drain out when I was trying to get all the coolant out

Hey thanks for video, I got a gx 460 and working on replacing the radiator but I was wondering did you every figure out what the ticking was? Mines doing the same thing
@UncleJerrys Жыл бұрын
Hey yea, hope it helped! No, I never did figure out what that ticking was.. It would only happen at like 175 degrees. I haven't been too worried about it lately, and I can't hear it with the hood closed, so I don't think it's a big deal

Thx for the tutorial. But removing the fan/clutch or replacing it would made the radiator replacement easier. Yes more work but less stress.
@UncleJerrys Жыл бұрын
Yea you're probably right.. I try to remove as little as possible bc I'd probably strip a fan clutch bolt or something

@@UncleJerrys Just did mine on the 460 yesterday. The biggest problem was the radiator "Funnel" shields that channel airflow into the radiator. Those suckers did NOT want to go back in. Ending up trimming them abit. Replaced the radiator/fan clutch/both hoses and the thermostat. Going to finish flushing today and call it good. So Thx! Side note: The trans fluid that leaked out is toast. NEXT PROJECT...trans fluid change. 🙄🙄🙄 Oh boy.....

ha nice! One of those "air funnels" was rotted out, I end up just ripping the rest of it out. Now if I drive above 70mph, I hear this weird wind flutter, hitting something it's not supposed to.. going to have to try to find an OEM replacement and get it back in there! Ohhhh yea, the trans fluid that leaked out of mine was gross.. more black than red. It's been bothering me.. really want to at least do a drain and fill. REALLY wish I had a dang dip stick

@@UncleJerrys Welllll....supposedly it's "sealed" for life. But even Car Care Nut-Master ToyotaTech says No-Way. 60-80k max. There are tons of vids on how do it. The key is getting a proper temp reading on the fluid. That determines what the actual level is.

Is there a video for gx460?
@palmereldrich8863 Жыл бұрын
Guys, you don't dilute pink! Look at the words on the coolant! "50/50 prediluted" "ready to use do not add water" Thanks for the video though. Was helpful.

Did you figure out what your ticking noise was?

No, I sure didn't. Just ignoring it..

Great video but you forgot to top off the transmission fluid afterwards.

Yeaaaa, not ideal. Really wish I had a freakin dip stick. How much tranny fluid do you think the rad holds?

Are you putting in a single, double or triple row
