I find it funny, as someone who has been following these torture tests for a very long time now, that you can pick up the expensive, specialized products but the ol' reliable Turtle Wax Seal n Shine will still perform like the best of them. That was a surprising product that continues to do the more I watch these tests.

I've used both versions. Really liked the original. Scored a case for about $20/can. I owe Gyeon a good dinner. Highly profitable and looked very good. With regular maintenance and feeding, seemed to last almost forever. 10/10 for ease of use. The Evo retains the ease of use, looks even better to my eye, seems more slick. Still an excellent value. Can't comment on its durability, as nothing has changed in about 6-7 months on my test vehicle. On one of the cars I value, that's been polished and corrected to the best of my ability, the gloss is outstanding. Very good sense of depth, excellent clarity. The latter matters to me quite a bit. The product is a favorite.

About a year ago my brand new vehicle was shipped from the factory to the dealership and i asked them to not wash it before i picked it up. I took it straight home and did a decon/strip wash on it and put original cancoat on it. Since I've only hand washed it since, could i get away with applying the cancoat Evo without doing a polish? If so, what would you recommend i use before applying the new cancoat Evo? It still beads pretty well from the original application but not as it did in the beginning. Thanks!

@chrissemsch87812 жыл бұрын
I found that Immortal is easier to apply. CanCoat mists more and you absolutely can not apply outside where even the slightest air movement will get “overspray” on unwanted areas. Even in my garage/shop under very controlled conditions I noticed a fine hardened spray on the glass that needed 0000 steel wool to remove. I did not notice that with using Immortal. Wipe-off/ leveling I found was very similar. Just my two bits.

Do I keep reapplying every few weeks/months or do I need to wait a year? I can use any topper after a maintenance wash right? Should I be applying a topper after every wash like seal n shine or some quick detail wax spray?
@timson81262 жыл бұрын
If anything apply 2 or 3 coats with what ever recommended layering time then, it'll be super durable. There's no need too, just apply this and enjoy not having to apply something after each wash, nothing will make this look any better, and will only clog the coating, if you want to do something each wash just stick to a simple wax and qd each time.
