In reality though, blood would not be absorbed by gym chalks. Maybe upto a certain point but not fully. Because blood is viscose and dries (chips) way faster that ink. Sooo...it would not be very much of help. Also chalk would leave chalk traces, it's just not so good for that.

As a former gymnasts I understand this at a spiritual level, this stuff is VERY absorbent we'd normally crush the blocks into powder, spray the high-bar or rings with water and then rub lchalk onto the bar/rings, almost instantly drying off the surface, giving a more grippy surface that builds up a little bit and gets worn back down.

The reason why Gym Chalk is highly absorbing is so that way when you place it on your hands it can absorb your sweat to preventing you from slipping when you are doing gymnastics or any type of sport that requires you to grip so that way you are able to he in control of your grip. It is able to absorb the maximum amount of sweat that is able to be produced by your hands while doing so.
