I happened to stumble upon this episode through an ad and I gotta say I'm in LUV with Juju! Not only does she tackle different challenges that a lot of different kids face she's really relatable with her imagination, her comfort habits, and being outgoing and exploring what she enjoys while also learning. I connected a lot to episode 1 with always being interested in things that were not "Girly" but Jujus's mom explaining that it's okay for Juju to like her shirt and for her to just be Juju touched me. Im looking forward to episode 4 even though I'm worried about the doctor visiting cuz I've experienced it myself but I hope Juju will be fine and her parents will listen to her. Also LOVE the music, Jujus rock song is so much fun!♥🎸⚡🤘🏿

Will be interested to see how OCD issues are handled in the next episode. Perhaps would have changed the imaginary bomb in a school motivational story line to something less possible and more fantastical, or even something like the release of lions from a cage or sharks, etc.

I actually liked the bomb... unfortunately it tends to be aggressive or violent when these kinds of "if you dont, then" OCD Complusions kick in. That's why it's a problem for many because if it were fantastical and pleasant then it wouldn't cause the same stress.

Liked this episode for sure, definitely different from the last one, but I think that the last one is more of the aim that you're trying to get at for a kids/teenager show. Definitely liked how the objective was to defuse a bomb. Unfortunately these complusions tend to be violent and negative in nature and that's what brings so much stress to those who have OCD when these kinds of intrusive thoughts come up. The reaction that people have to her complusions seems to be like "what's wrong with you?" and to be honest I think I've ever only experienced this once. For me it's always a genuine concern like "are you okay? I saw you squeezing your eyes a lot and just want to make sure your eyes are okay." --- so I think that people are more concerned with your well being and not disgusted or rolling their eyes. Overall, seeing the third episode here and where it is leaving off, I feel like maybe it would have been good to have a few more episodes before going to a psychologist and psychiatrist. The reason why I say this is becuase if the goal of the show is to show a character with underlying OCD as a kid and dealing with it and having fun and going about their day, then having her go to through therapy and eventual OCD medication will result in her (ignoring the actual time it takes to get medication in the real world) probably having medication by episode 5 (assuming you skip the months it would actually take to get things right XD). From here on out the OCD would be drastically more controllable and not super noticable, in which case the OCD focus of the show would kinda be lost? If this is the case, the rest of the show would be more like "Clarence" or "Craig of the Creek" where kids are just being kids. Let me know your thoughts on this, and keep up the good work!

My personal thoughts on this are that the problems JuJu face just are happening and aren't meant to be a focus of the show. Like the intro of the show is all about, we are all different, yet we're all the same. There are struggles people deal with, but it doesn't define them. Of course, this is coming from someone with little experience with things such as OCD, so I'm no expert in how shows should portray them, but I do like how it isn't what defines her when it is not a huge focus for her character.
