The gym is a good choice for a pregnant lady as it makes her and also her baby active. Exercising regularly gives you a healthy lifestyle and it could never harm any human body. Alternative for exercising is walking, meditating, swimming, yoga, dancing and many others.
And if your doctor asks you to take rest, you should profitably ask the reason for rest as gym and exercise makes you active and doesn't affect you or your baby.
