@@johanjara1780 they mostly lift light anyways. If you watch their trainings is usually low weight high reps and also high velocity so They become more explosive. You can't be explosive with heavy

@pablo evidence is clear about the fact that strength training for improvement in performance or injury prevention should focus pure capacities like maximal strength, stretch shortening cycles, force velocity based training,.... nothing of that is seen here. The only thing that I see is low load slow excercises that have nog transfer to the field at al. A change of direction has about 100x more Newtons placed on your body than a slow body weight squat. Train for the impacts you need to withstand on the field...
