So the JBL Xtreme 4 has some very big upgrades to it like a swappable battery, better sound and Auracast. And in general, this is a super portable and loud speaker thats great to take to the beach or park with you. However, the JBL Charge 5 has been one of my favorite speakers to recommend for a few years now, and theres also the JBL Pulse 5 which looks super cool thanks to its very impressive light feature. So heres a break down if you’re trying to choose between the JBL Xtreme 4, or the Charge 5 or the Pulse 5.

I just bought the extreme 4 resealed for 200$ , i like that i can make a multiroom connection with my stage 320 and clip 5(this hangs in the bathroom).

You should probably just use the EXTREME 3 for indoor use while it’s plugged in getting full power & place it near a wall. I own the EXTREME 3 as well & this is the only way that I use it. I just don’t care for the output in battery mode. If you’re deciding whether or not to get the EXTREME 4, it all depends on how you plan on using it. If you want a speaker for mainly outdoors, you might want to consider the Boom2. I’ve watched multiple comparison videos between the EXTREME 4 & Boom2. The 4 has more overall clarity, but the Boom2 overall has a fuller sound with deeper bass. It’s also a lot cheaper retailing at $129.99. I own the Boom2 as well. I guess it all depends on what you want or prefer & how much money you’re willing to spend.😊

Xtreme 3 for stereo. Then save up for a boombox 3 and you’ll have a great combination of speakers. The xtremes are fine in stereo but a boombox 3 with an xtreme 3 is a lot better than 2 xtremes. Pricing is about the same now.
