1:05:00 I wonder if anyone has broken down the individual World and Olympic medals by the number of events they medaled in, to make up for the fact that they only used to be held every other year. Not to mention the two non-pandemic times they held a Worlds during an Olympic year. Those definitely helped pad some resumes.

42:10 Other instances of score truncation incorrectly altering results: 90 Europeans - Kalinina was 2nd and Onodi 3rd although they mathematically tied 92 Olympics - Bontas was 4th and Boginskaya 5th although they mathematically tied 99 Worlds - Yovchev was 3rd and Wilson was 4th although they mathematically tied I imagine there are many more, but these are the ones I've known of or come across in my research.

It’s a pose. At this point it’s like pretending to take a bite out of your medal because you enjoy it so much. Plus, even if people know the gold test meaning, they still want to take part in the special pose.
